30/3/2022 12:57 | i'm sorry, i cannot hope to match your experience, but am happy to chime in with some outside the box (or paper-mill) views :D I do still retain a small shareholding, but have sold done some of my shares in Mondi PLC & Stora Enso. | arbus5000
30/3/2022 09:09 | LOl arbus No offence but having read your last two posts I can tell you never stepped one foot inside a Papermill ;) as I said no offence but its just lightened my day. | stevieweebie2
15/3/2022 16:58 | the ability to pass on prices will depend on the availability of alternative products, but it looks like the same price pressures will impact all producers/converters I would imagine that given the low density of the final product, transport costs would also have a high proportion on the total price/cost, and this is an advantage given Acroll's location in a large catchment area, with good acccess to the M6 motorway. I bought some toilet paper off amazon a few months ago, it was cheap, but was shipped from one of their EU warehoueses i beleive (!!!) There are also plenty of raw materials in the local area (reclyclables?) so maybe they should look at making their own parent reels - this makes more sense than the FX hedging that went on a few years back, and is more environmentally friendly than using virgin pulp out of finland or sweden etc | arbus5000
14/3/2022 16:20 | I have one worry about their ability to pass on price increases, I work in the industry and I am getting letters now advising or increases on finished goods anywhere between 20% and 50% Raw material prices increasing by up to 50% per tonne, UPM strikes in Finland at Papermills, the outlook is looking quite grim This is not just from one factory but from many so Accrol will be impacted, I just hope they can pass the rises on quickly enough, other thing is, we will all be paying a lot more too! | stevesham
14/3/2022 16:01 | Accrol should open a toilet roll emporium in a town centre to sell high end product - the margins would be huge i imagine. | arbus5000
14/3/2022 10:35 | Looks like we've just saved £6.8 million then | scemer

11/3/2022 14:17 | Everyone needs toilet paper; more so than gas! How much would you pay if you had none left? | this_is_me
09/3/2022 07:27 | I have been told that some of the big European tissue producers such as Wepa and Sofidel are actually switching off Paper Machines now because the cost of gas has tripled in the past week or so. Any customer who won't pay their increased production costs won't get supplies, so there may even be a shortage of parent reels going forward. This mean the likes of Accrol will be paying even more for parent reels - in the region of 20% - I just don't know how they are going to recover all these increases quickly from their customers .......... | jk46664
08/3/2022 19:55 | Would like to see both the CEO and FD both also buy significantly too | value viper
04/3/2022 09:03 | I reckon most of today's trades are actual buys, yet posted as sells. At least mine was a buy and not posted as such. | empoggio
04/3/2022 07:32 | The chairman agrees! Good to see him spending £200,000 to increase his holding. | this_is_me

15/2/2022 12:27 | Hi Justice sorry for the late reply. No I have no position, 2 reasons, firstly I dont think the wider market has corrected properly yet so im just being over cautious, secondly end users are being force fed new prices and I know how ruthless the supermarkets are in accepting them, I also know how busy they are not that I will discuss that further, so all told im just sitting it out. having said that I have zero idea what represents fair value in terms of share price but I know I dont need to rush in as they arent breaking any records. Virgin fibre parent reel costs are now £1400t and I dont know what ACRL have budgeted for but I wouldnt have thought that was it. 1st Qtr may be interesting. good luck whatever you do. | stevieweebie2

11/2/2022 14:20 | Looks like their earlier spivvy sell might have been an attempt at a good tree shake to take out capitulators? Their volume of buy since is more telling of intentions. | p1nkfish
11/2/2022 12:45 | Lombard buying it up. | stevieweebie2
11/2/2022 11:24 | Good to see the exchange of stock. Look where management are incentivized to get the share price to. One way or another, via some turbulance, this looking liking heading up. | p1nkfish
