Whatever Tanzanian plans are it must be remembered that they signed up to the Bilateral Investment Treaty protection.

This is the reason why many companies invested there.

There will be no sustained recovery in the share price here so the hard down trend is likely to continue. There is no confidence in the TG and what it's intentions are regarding ACA.

The TG means to apply 'pay back time' to this company as payback for unfavourable contract terms over the past 20 years or more. That could mean anything from full nationalization to some huge cash payment plus part nationalization to settle the matter (for now). The new laws give cover to whatever Magufuli has in mind with no recourse to any external authority or arbitration.

The TG means business and for ACA this means nothing is ever going back to the way it was .....

There's a war happening in certain parts of Africa:

China (good guys) v Western companies (nasty, colonial white man)

China and many African states are in bed together and this type of slow destruction of western companies will continue

This dispute ain't gonna resolve quickly because it does not suit the mad President. He is playing a shrewd political game to become impregnable politically and hold on to power in perpetuity. Where politics takes precedence over economic reality, it is time to exit.

If acacia sell to a Chinese firm what happens to shareholders stakes? Is there a big upside to share price if a Chinese companies takes it over and starts from scratch with a slightly higher tax levy?

Wookie77 65% of the shares are owned by Barrick. They would not lend any of them out to shorters.

160 gone, and confirmed as resistance.
Barrick mulling what next step should be and waiting gov to show their hand, both playing a waiting poker game!
On 5yr chart 100 may be next stop as currently on 2yr old support.
Depends on the news. SHG holding just about.
CPX and IGE on the motor

One thing to look out for is short positions being closed. In this case it probably won't mean they think the share is going it means they've had enough blood and think there is a chance of it going bust

Barrick Gold seem to be taking a long time to send down a negotiating team, considering how much this is costing Acacia each day.
