Interesting company but investing in mining outfits is a bad idea as most lose money and end up getting taken over for peanuts . Seems it's not working well for gun either .

Never did get round to doing an NAV calculation. Not sure I want to now. If I had taken what I invested in GUN and invested it myself in the kind of companies GUN invests in, I suspect I would have done as well if not better than GUN. And I have had some shockers. Better making my own investment mistakes than paying someone else to make them for me.

Pacific Nickel - Solomon Islands Nickel Project Update

Gunsynd Plc (AIM: GUN, AQSE: GUN) notes the announcement by its investee company Pacific Nickel Mines Limited ("Pacific Nickel"), which is listed on ASX (ASX: PNM), that, further to the Company's announcement of 15 June 2022, Glencore International AG ("Glencore") has today provided a Letter of Commitment confirming receipt of its internal management approvals to execute an up to US$22m loan facility agreement and amended sales agreement for the Kolosori Nickel Project (the "Project") subject to the finalisation of legal documentation and the fulfilment of usual conditions.

The announcement states that the funds raised through these arrangements with Glencore are expected to be sufficient to meet the pre-production funding requirements of the Project.

Gunsynd currently holds 2,779,840 shares in Pacific Nickel.

The Directors of Gunsynd accept responsibility for this announcement.

Thanks Burtond1 for the link. It is a good read not just about Gunsynd's investments but for mining in general.

Reminder it was Metals One that was the investment I couldn't remember the name of in the above post. So that investment was subject to admission to AIM and acquisition of Finnaust Mining.

With the investments it looks like good exposure to essential minerals for vehicle electrification and infrastructure. Lithium and cobalt are also mentioned as well as the ones highlighted in your post.

Still unloved but how long will that last?
