US housing market index slid surprisingly in July
The housing market index in the US dropped unexpectedly to a level of 59.00 in July, compared to a reading of 60.00 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the housing market index to record a steady reading.
Foreign investors remained net buyers of Canadian securities in the previous month
Foreign investors were net buyers of C$14.70 billion worth of Canadian securities in May, from being net buyers of C$15.52 billion worth of Canadian securities in the prior month.

Canadian investors remained net buyers of C$5.10 billion worth of foreign securities in May, from being net buyers of C$4.67 billion worth of foreign securities in the previous month.
