Italian business confidence index slid unexpectedly in December

The business confidence index in Italy fell unexpectedly to 104.10 in December, lower than market expectations of a steady reading. In the previous month, the business confidence index had registered a revised reading of 104.40.

Italian consumer confidence index registered a drop in December

The consumer confidence index dropped to 117.60 in Italy, in December, higher than market expectations of a drop to a level of 117.00. The consumer confidence index had recorded a reading of 118.40 in the prior month.

Spanish retail sales advanced less than expected in November

The retail sales in Spain advanced 3.30% in November on an annual basis, less than market expectations for a rise of 4.60%. In the previous month, retail sales had risen by a revised 6.00%.

US Redbook index declined in the last week

On a monthly basis, the seasonally adjusted Redbook index eased 0.50% in the US, in the week ended 25 December 2015. In the previous week, the Redbook index had recorded a drop of 0.70%.

US S&P/Case-Shiller home price index climbed in October

The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index recorded a rise to 182.83 in the US, in October, lower than market expectations of an advance to 183.28. The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index had registered a revised level of 182.73 in the previous month.

US S&P/Case-Shiller composite home price index (HPI) of 20 metropolitan areas advanced less than expected in October

The S&P/Case-Shiller composite home price index (HPI) of 20 metropolitan areas rose 5.54% on a YoY basis in the US, in October, compared to a revised rise of 5.36% in the prior month. Market expectation was for the S&P/Case-Shiller composite home price index (HPI) of 20 metropolitan areas to climb 5.60%.

US CB consumer confidence index climbed in December

The CB consumer confidence index registered a rise to 96.50 in the US, in December, higher than market expectations of a rise to 93.80. The CB consumer confidence index had registered a revised reading of 92.60 in the prior month.

US Redbook index rose in the last week

The Redbook index in the US rose 2.50% on a YoY basis, in the week ended 25 December 2015. In the prior week, the Redbook index had registered a rise of 2.10%.

US S&P/Case-Shiller composite index of 20 metropolitan areas advanced more than expected in October

On a monthly basis in October, the seasonally adjusted S&P/Case-Shiller composite index of 20 metropolitan areas advanced 0.84% in the US, compared to a revised advance of 0.50% in the previous month. Market expectation was for the S&P/Case-Shiller composite index of 20 metropolitan areas to climb 0.60%.

Chinese leading index slid in November

The leading index eased to 98.11 in China, in November. The leading index had registered a revised level of 98.34 in the prior month.
