Darden Restaurants Inc. (NYSE:DRI): The stock is trading 1.35 percent higher, at $49.62. The stock is trading up after the company’s quarterly results exceeded the estimates. It reported its third quarter adjusted earnings at $1.02 per share, beating analysts’ estimates of $1.01 per share in net income.

However, it was lower than $1.25 per share it had earned for the corresponding quarter of the last year. Darden Restaurants reported 5 percent increase in its revenue to $2.26 billion. Its revenue for the third quarter of the previous year stood at $2.16 billion. The company has traded 771k shares in the current trading sessions so far and its stock has traded in the range of $44.11 and $57.93 in the past 52 weeks. The company stock’s beta is 0.71, while its P/E ratio stands at 14.06. Darden Restaurants expects its FY 2013 earnings to be in the range of $3.06 and $3.22 per share and it expects its revenue to grow by 6 percent to 7 percent.

Tiffany & Co. (NYSE:TIF): The company exceeded analysts’ expectations for its fourth quarter net income. Its earnings at $1.40 per share surpassed estimates of $1.36 per share in net income for Q4. Its revenue for the quarter increased 4 percent to $1.24 billion, slightly lagging behind the estimates of $1.25 billion in revenue. The stock is trading at $69.68, 2.61 percent higher than its previous close. It has traded in the range of $69.03 and $70.78 in the current trading session. It has traded 2.24 million shares so far, in comparison to its daily average trading volume of 2.405 million shares. The stock has traded in the range of $49.72 and $72.89 in the past 52 weeks. The company stock trades at Price Earnings ratio of 21.54 and its beta is at 1.73. Tiffany expects its FY 2013 revenue to be in the range of $4.02 billion and $4.09 billion while its full year earnings expected to be in the range of $3.43 per share and $3.53 per share.

CNOOC Ltd (NYSE:CEO): Its stock traded in the range of $184.80 and $186.11 in the current trading session and at this point is at $185.94, up 0.97 percent. The stock’s highest price point of 52 weeks stands at $226.77 while its lowest price point is at $171.58. CNOOC stock is trading at Price Earnings ratio of 8.33 and its beta is 1.25. The company’s dividend yield stands at 1.80 percent. CNOOC is trading up despite reporting 9.3 percent in its annual profit. Its net income for the year stood at $10.2 billion, while its revenue increased 3 percent. The company is augmenting its position in the market as it made $15.1 billion acquisition of Nexen this year. CNOOC reported that its profit fell due to increase in exploration costs.

BP Plc (NYSE:BP): The company reported its new plan to repurchase up to $8 billion worth of stock. It plans to complete the repurchase program within the period of next 12 to 18 months. BP recently completed sale of its 50 percent interest in TNK-BP. The stake has been sold to Rosneft. BP plans to use the proceeds to pay down its debts. It is currently trading at $41.94, up 2.56 percent. It is trading in the range of $41.68 and $42.09 in the current trading session. The stock is lower than its 20 days moving average price of $42.00 but higher than its 50 days moving average price of $41.88. In the past 52 weeks, the stock’s price range has been $36.25 and $46.26. The stock’s beta is 2.18 and its Price Earnings ratio is 11.59. BP commands market capitalization of $133.90 billion.

TripAdvisor Inc. (NASDAQ:TRIP): The stock is currently trading at $52.24, up 0.94 percent. It is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $52.18. The stock oscillated in the range of $52.06 and $52.57 in the current trading session. TripAdvisor reported its latest EPS at $1.37. The company stock’s Price Earnings ratio stands at 38.06. It commands the market capitalization of $7.45 billion and its stock is trading at the beta of 0.162. TripAdvisor announced purchase of Tiny Post. The company develops an app for editing photos. The company did not disclose any financial terms and conditions of the transaction.
