Shores their broker are paid handsomely to say such things. To double their store estate - they have 225 and growing circa 20 per year (which obviously has and will slow), but taking the 20 pa, that's 450 by about 2035, yes that's in the "coming years", but still eleven years away.

Stores will double in coming years.
Shore Capital commented: ‘With some of the clouds over the UK consumer economy lifting (in our view) we believe Cake Box is now very well placed to deliver on its evolved growth strategy, with a more proactive property strategy, enhanced marketing capability combined with the considerable knowledge and experience of founder and CEO Sukh Chamdal.’

The broker added: ‘Cake Box remains immature, and after two years of stability and consolidation looks well positioned to deliver sustainable capital light, cash generative medium to long-term growth.’

Sorry but 20x for single digit growth forecast in earnings is excessive. They only commanded such a rating when they were in their growth phase with decent double digit growth. Now their growth is below industry average.AimAllshare with 22.6% growth is only on a PE of 12.3x.At current price it seems fair value IMO.

A final dividend of 6p is projected next month. Net cash position. 20x earnings is more than reasonable with new stores being opened, lower inflation (2% target will be hit this month), a growing economy and rate cuts imminent pre election.

200 would be a forward PE (FY25) of 16.5x which seems steep to me.Shore did increase their forecast for FY24 by 3% to 11.3 which is still a PE of 14.8x going on yesterday's close, which seems about right IMO.Would love to see signs that they have a longer term strategy to improve growth back to decent double digits but so far nothing IMO.
