03/5/2024 14:55 | Bloomberg: El-Erian Says ‘Goldilocks Employers added 175k jobs in April versus 240k expected Treasuries rally, dollar tumbles after release of data A cooling of the labor market should provide welcome relief for the Federal Reserve as it looks to ease the US economy into a soft landing, Mohamed El-Erian said after the release of April US jobs data. “A goldilocks report that will please the Fed and please the markets,” El-Erian, the president of Queens’ College, Cambridge and a Bloomberg Opinion columnist, told Bloomberg Television on Friday. The ISM Services PMI in the US dropped sharply to 49.4 in April of 2024 from 51.4 in the earlier month, reflecting the first contraction in services sector activity since December of 2022, and surprising market expectations of 52. The reading aligned with an unexpected contraction for manufacturing, indicating that higher borrowing costs from the Fed may be having a higher impact on business conditions. New orders rose at a slower pace (52.2 vs 54.4 in March) and output was softened considerably (50.9 vs 57.4), driving firms to shed jobs at a faster pace (45.9 vs 48.5) to mark a third period of lower employment. source: Institute for Supply Management | dickbush
03/5/2024 14:46 | Gentlemen. Let's all hope the banana skins are behind us and this share price continues moving N this time? Or is it as is more usual, just the frustration of another damp squib? | borderterrier1
03/5/2024 14:17 | True we don't know when that video was taken but they down tools right at the start of Ramadhan | plat hunter
03/5/2024 13:31 | Looks like a very positive jobs report for gold ? | sclper
03/5/2024 13:31 | We don't know when the video was taken. If you look in the Kouroussa gallery on the HUM site you will see a still that shows a similar grouping of plant and people.I imagine they would normally have regular briefings in this formation.I suspect from the description of what was being said it was taken during Ramadan, when tiredness would have been a real safety hazard. | backmarker
03/5/2024 13:27 | There are two issues facing HUM, can they get the ground operations capacity working sufficiently and to schedule, and also have they gone past their credit limit and if so, will Corica pick up the tab, or will paper be issued again. I'd prefer answers to both before buying more. | temujiin
03/5/2024 13:06 | In the linkedin post earlier (thanks for posting) I can count 9 large dumper trucks. That's quite a bit of carrying capacity.... | bushtuckaman
03/5/2024 12:54 | Something is cooking, 9.50, 9.66 and 9.97 pence paid.. :o) #PH, a penny a day is all we ask, but if it comes back on any harder, so be it..! #Polaris, difficult to ascertain the situation on the ground and the extent of controls the step-in notice gives us, but with safety briefings underway and the Corica team listening, it could result in a back to work for many and more than I was expecting.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
03/5/2024 11:27 | I suspect the video represents a safety update from qualified staff brought in under the step in notice. New operational managers, new oversight. It remains uncertain what the current situation on the ground is. | polaris
03/5/2024 10:50 | I don't see the video as evidence Corica are back at work, and the share price doesn't reflect that either imo. That said I did buy back a token 50k earlier.....I feel dirty. | temujiin
03/5/2024 10:23 | There are a lot of men and machines for Corica to pay and not be earning any revenue from Hum. Some if not all of these must be now being paid by Hum under the Step In Notice. | jedi k
03/5/2024 10:00 | If you noticed that then you should also read one of the comments later on that ends malgré... That post indicates to me that the issues remain ongoing. It means 'in spite of' and the ... a similar meaning to that in common English. I.e. happy holiday in spite of current situation. Then again, that is my interpretation. | polaris
03/5/2024 09:18 | #PH, I just noticed 1 recent comment on the linkedin page you found was from a dump truck operator, (OPÉRATEUR DUMP TRUCK 777E CORICA MINING SERVICES KOUROUSSA) so he was on site which would be indicative of activities resuming..? | laurence llewelyn binliner
03/5/2024 09:07 | I'm not sure but I think that would mostly be dependent on how long it takes to load a truck and how far away the excavator is from the stockpile site. If any excavator is sitting idle for X amount mins at a time between trucks then that won't half add up over 24 hours. | plat hunter
03/5/2024 09:00 | Depends on what they term a fleet #PH, would it be 2 haul trucks an 1 excavator per fleet..? | laurence llewelyn binliner
03/5/2024 08:13 | So looking at that video again. I count 7 fleet. Is that going to be the original 5 from Corica plus the 2 from Etasi? | plat hunter
03/5/2024 07:53 | Bank holiday too LLB, long wait until Tuesday | plat hunter
03/5/2024 07:17 | No RNS (so far), could this be the last day to buy in single figures and the back to work rule for Corica.. :o)Interesting developments indeed.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
03/5/2024 07:11 | So, who's the proper Charlieeee? It's not eeeesy to tell you apart. | backmarker

02/5/2024 21:41 | Well that is confusing, but hello to Charlieeeee with 5 e's from Charlieeee with 4 e's! I don't post that often nowadays: this is my last stock on AIM. | charlieeee
