Newcastle Announces Common Stock Dividend of $0.625 Per Share for the Second Quarter and a Preferred Stock Dividend NEW YORK, June 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Newcastle Investment Corp. (NYSE:NCT) announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $0.625 per share for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. The $0.625 per share dividend is payable on July 27, 2005 to holders of record on July 5, 2005. Newcastle's Board of Directors has also declared a dividend on the Company's Series B preferred stock. A dividend of $0.609375 per share will be paid on the 9.75% Series B preferred stock for the period beginning May 1, 2005 through July 31, 2005. The dividend is payable on August 1, 2005 to holders of record on July 5, 2005. Newcastle Investment Corp. invests in real estate securities and other real estate-related assets. Newcastle is organized and conducts its operations to qualify as a real estate investment trust (REIT) for federal income tax purposes.
