MIAMI, March 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines was named Corporate Business of the Year by the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce. George Hazy, American's Vice President - Miami Hub, accepted the award at the organization's Annual Awards Banquet on behalf of American's more than 9,000 Miami-based employees. The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1974 by a group of black businessmen and holds several annual events which recognize small and corporate businesses and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the Chamber and the community. The organization's annual awards banquet recognizes members for their business savvy and accomplishments by presenting awards to the Corporate Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Top Five Small Businesses, and Board Member of the Year.
