Thanks for the update EC,

looks like we've arrived at very similar eps forecasts for the current FY17 year by different routes ie 31.5p on my earlier post.

Whilst I'd be happy to hold for this performance I think it's 'middle of the road' and with the sterling devaluation stimulating more orders they should be able to beat this.

cheers

From N+1 Singer

Zytronic - Strong underlying profit growth; Forecast upgrades

The final results showed strong underlying profit growth of 14% before the impact of the non-cash £0.9m FX provision as discussed at the pre-close update; this ongoing strength of trading enables us to upgrade our FY17 PBT forecast today by 10% to £5.4m. The balance sheet also continues to strengthen with net cash up to £11.6m and the full year dividend was increased by 20%. With underlying trading remaining positive, we continue to feel that an FY17 P/E rating of c.14.1x is inexpensive for a growing technology business with a very strong balance sheet and a dividend yield of c.4%.

I dont tink there is a chance of 57p divi as not all the cash is distributable. I am expecting around 20-25p special divi if the company goes down this road.

95% export sales without a global sales person...that's pretty impressive. Lots of growth potential, albeit we don't want the smaller screens going ex-growth. Anyway, its still a definite hold for me. Bought at 149p and still not quite tempted to top-slice with the special dividend on the way.

15.8p div this year (guess) (with 10% increase but not like they cant afford 20% again) and say 57p special (15.4m shares with 8.9m eye marked possible for capital return).

Zytronic doesn't know how to spend its cash but look how many companies spend cash recklessly... Ill take £1.9m dividend and £2.9m increase in cash over a pipe dream.

Ive had a look at their presentation on the website and it clearly shows the larger screens command a higher margin in the bar charts. They also appear to have hired a global sales person now. Does that mean they are working on contracts with more multi nationals going forward?

A very solid set of numbers in my view and organic revenue growth in the core business at 5 per cent. Outlook also positive and they are definitely making the arrangements for a return of capital next year. Maybe 50p special dividend to come?

I haven't seen any comments on the AGM proposal to increase the distributable reserves. Surely this suggests a potential special div down the line?

Thanks for that very good summary illi

About 70p a share in nett cash is a lovely buffer in any lull in orders. You have to think these will be a good fit for someone down the line.

Interesting results and thanks for the LSE link.

The legacy sharp decline of 26% in sales, the FX charge of 900k and the tax changes do rather obscure the figures making it look harder than it should?

The 20% dividend hike reminds me that not only do they expect growth in sales in the current year and a lift from the lower exchange rate but they are also sitting on a pile of cash (About 12m versus a market capital of 60M so 20%).

For 21M in sales to generate over 4m in pretax profits is quite remarkable - a 20% net margin on the current sales mix.

The tax regime is also low thanks to the R&D credits and now the patent box - though I'd see the continuing level around 10% rather than this years 4%.

Thanks to the underlying growth and the tax regime the results beat expectations (according to DL this morning) for Sales, Profit before tax and resulted in a rise in basic eps of 7% rather than a fall of 7%. Not so bad after all.

The negative effects of the FX are now gone and the contracts will unwind over the next 9 months to there will be a positive boost, perhaps to both sales volume as well as value in the current year.

According to my back of the envelope calculation: stripping out the FX charge and adding back in the previous tax credits I put the eps for these results at 30p and at todays slightly down price the P/E around 12.6 - thats before accounting for the sales we are told are ahead this year and with all that cash on the balance sheet.

Perhaps 31.5p would be a 'good' expectation for the current year by adding 5% growth on the underlying figure? I don't think forecasts will be this high as ZYT tends to be an underforecast and overperform outfit. But it represents FY17 growth of 18% on today's results and this morning DL was forecasting 17% growth for FY17 so maybe not so way out?

I've taken advantage of the slightly down price and added some more, and I will continue to do so if the price does not recover,

cheers

Zytronic touch shows the way in Helsingborg

Zytronic, a leader in custom designed, high performance Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT™ and MPCT™) touch sensors, announced that the Swedish city of Helsingborg has selected Infinitus digital signage kiosks based on its touch sensors for a network of interactive outdoor digital totems for residents and visitors to the city.
Helsingborg, with a population of 100,000, is a popular place to live and visit, not least because of its proximity to Copenhagen. The city authorities made a decision to create an outdoor network of 6 custom touch interactive digital totems to message citizens and help tourists find their way around. They needed custom designed units that would work reliably in the very cold Scandinavian winters, requiring the minimum of attention on-site after installation.
Helsingborg chose Infinitus “imotion”; G6 kiosks, with a 47” touch screen based on Zytronic PCT™ touch screen technology. The touch screens in the units work reliably down to -40°C – well below the coldest recorded winter temperature in the city. The 2.000 nit luminance output super high bright LCD panel is designed to be easily readable in bright sunlight. The system is rugged and vandal proof, and is additionally protected with audio alarm and shock sensors. To increase audience engagement the units have an integrated Wi-Fi hot spot allowing users to connect to the internet, and either transfer data, or download kiosk contents to their mobile phones.
Johan Stegö , New business developer of Infab AB, Infinitus local partner, said, “The kiosks are being used to promote town activities, events, local business and tourist sights. An important feature is the regional wayfinding facility that helps residents and visitors alike to orientate themselves better, and access more complete information about options in the area.”

Zytronic brings new touch technologies to China at C-Touch
25 November 2016 – 26 November 2016
Shenzhen, stand 1B-205

A spectacular curved interactive video wall is the centrepiece of the Zytronic presence at C-Touch (Shenzhen, 24-26 November, stand 1B-205).  Zytronic, a leader in custom designed, high performance Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT™ and MPCT™) touch sensors will also exhibit new object recognition functionality, and force sensing technology on large format touch screens for the first time in China.
Ian Crosby, vice president of sales and marketing at Zytronic, said, “Zytronic leads the way in custom designed, large format touch screens and we are proud to bring new technologies to the Chinese market at C-Touch. We are seeing growing demand in China for interactivity in public areas and we are adding a new dimension to this by demonstrating a curved wall consisting of three linked 46” touch screens, creating a wrap-around touch surface. In addition, we are offering application developers two new technologies.  Force or pressure sensing technology is gaining popularity in handheld consumer devices, and we are now making this capability available on large touchscreens in public locations, providing self-service system developers a fantastic opportunity to innovate. Object recognition provides an additional way of engaging the user and by offering this capability on large touch tables, we are helping developers to create a more immersive experience especially in high end retail applications.”
Force sensing on Zytronic PCT™ and MPCT™ touch sensors allows developers of ATMs, kiosks, game terminals and interactive video walls to differentiate between a soft and hard touch. Force or pressure sensing is becoming available on smartphones and tablets. Zytronic is a pioneer in bringing it to financial, retail, gaming, industrial and other commercial touch screen applications. Zytronic’s approach is based on a measurement of the surface area of an applied touch, which changes the measured capacitive signal levels at the relative touch location on the sensor. This eliminates the need for a piezo-electric or other layers on the glass to measure applied force or pressure.
Developed in collaboration with Tangible Display, the Zytronic object recognition functionality is available on touch tables up to 85” in diagonal.  The two companies believe this is the first time that camera-free object recognition functionality has been made available on capacitive touch screens of this size. The solution is based on the attachment of physical markers to the objects – it does not require modification of the touch table hardware. A key advantage of the combined Zytronic and Tangible Display technology is that non-conductive objects such as pens, bags or garments are ignored

igoe i've bought quite a few ZYT over the recent sessions, quite illiquid though but quality management team. On an FA level improving margins, Quality balance sheet with lots of cash and consistant growth in retained earnings, decent cash flow too. Strong dividend and good recent TS as well. The TA follows
