|ZPG is the new ticker symbol for Zoopla, not Zero Preference whatever. Other broker sirtes have updated and it is time ADVFN got the message|
Received likewise. The credit to my account on Tuesday of the 75p per Zero, sent a warm glow. A disappointing result for Growth shareholders, but the risk was always there.
Just got to re-invest the money sensibly now.
Quite fancy a few JDTZ, but would like to buy them below 70p.
Over and out here, but sure to see you on some other thread.
|I just got 1.318p for the zpg element of my units.
|Well, the portfolio has been all but liquidated, and hopefully the final £550K of Zeros can be sold at close to valuation.
In any event it looks as if Growth shareholders are only going to get around 1p for their shares which is a disappointing result. I did mention some time back that the period in the run-up to liquidation was crucial, so the downturn in markets, and especially the holding in REO have resulted in a likely payout below my expectations.
Still, as a holder of Units, my payout is likely to be around 4% below hopes. Given the fall in equity markets, I think that is still a decent result.
With little left to say, I will bade goodbye to posters, and wish the Canaries a successful season, albeit minus 6 points to the Blues.
I' don't think they have sold REOP. I spoke to REO's brokers today, and they said there is a lot of stock around.
I haven't had a look at ECW for a long time.
REOP keeps going down which cannot help our cause. US Sp Opps zeros will have been repaid. Do you think ZPG still holds REOP? I am hoping for some bounce in REOP after August.
OT, Have you looked at ECWC and the windup offer in Apr09 ?
|Given the rate of descent of REOP, it may be a struggle to even pay the full entitlement of the Zero's, let alone any payment to the Growth holders.|
|They are clearly liquidating the portfolio to a greater or lesser extent. perhaps they do not want to announce a fire sale ?? 3p would be OK.
|Disappointing drop in the NAV over the past couple of weeks. Debt has now been repaid, but I'm surprised no announcement has been made about the wind-up.
3p is definately looking optimistic for the growth shares now.|
I thought the Canaries might have a decent season, in what looked a very ordinary division. We will deserve to go down, if we do, as we haven't performed when it matters, against the teams at the bottom. It's all well and good to have played the top four eight times and ended up with a goal difference of minus 4, but if you can't beat those around you, you are stuffed.
As for ZPG, and in particular REOP, I warned some time back that prices might not move in time for wind-up. REOP look cheap, even given difficult market conditions, but will they move before August 9th...I wouldn't bet on it.
|I am still here, but nothing to report. Holding ZPGZ and ZPGU, as well as REOP.
Heard a report on the radio that Irish commercial property is not as healthy as it was, so perhaps that's the problem. No detail or backup for that though.
I can't see REOP moving if everyone thinks ZPG are going to have to sell in August.
I bet you are praying this weekend anyway best of luck and I hope you get a decent referee. The standards seem to have hit new lows this year not that it would have altered our position that much.
With the bank rate dropping the asset value seems to be holding in zpg be it at a low level. The fly in the ointment seems to be real estate zeros which are not moving even though there cover is a lot better now. Have you got any thoughts on real estate zeros?|
|Looks like I'm last man standing, since there have been no posts for four months.
Well, three months to go and it looks as if even 3p for the Growth shares will be an achievement.
Just left to see if the managers can get a roll-over option again.|
|Less than 6 months to go now, and even 4p is looking a bit doubtful for the Growth shares.|
|Nasty knock to the portfolio this week. NAV of Ords now down to 4.83p.|
He wants to come to you, but Miss Karren knows that QPR have got the bucks.
There should be a benefit to Zero's pricing if interest rates come down, but will it impact ZPG before they start to liquidate the portfolio.
Let's hope so.
|I think you should let us have Tiny for £250000.
I also think lower interest rates could be a big bonus for ZPG.|
Nice to see Norwich out of the bottom 3. A couple more wins and suddenly you are mid table.
ZPG have repaid another slug of debt, which was really as expected.
Otherwise nothing much to say.
|A nice rise in NAV this week, which was possibly the difference between the previous bid price valuation of New Star Zero's, and the redemption proceeds.
Hopefully the company will have paid back a large proportion of it's borrowings, which have become expensive recently, as they are pitched at a margin above LIBOR.
Only 8 months to go, but with no more natural redemptions, the managers will need all their skills to achieve decent prices for some of the remaining holdings, whilst hoping that the market holds up. Falling interest rates should help, but a large fall in equity markets will start to erode cover.
|Big fall in the NAV for last week, and I would guess more to come when this week's announcement comes out.|
|9 months to go...not that I'm counting the days....well, OK I am. The NAV has picked up a tad recently, but I'm sticking with my recent target price.
Good luck to the Canaries over the weekend. We've got the Vile, which will be interesting.
|ZPG looking at restructuring proposals ahead of next year's wind-up.
I would think that the assets under management are too small to roll over, and I will be taking cash, as mine are in a PEP.|
The new CGT rules will certainly favour zero's.
I still think 4-4.5p is the likely figure, but should REOZ continue to march upwards, then 5p is not a difficult target.
Now that Alistar is our darling with his new capital gains tax does it mean your pessimism is evaporating like the labour voters. REOZ up over 2p today.|
|Perhaps we may end up with Steve Bruce but then again you might be happy with that idea. Actually Rijoa and after what I have had to watch this year I needed plenty of it.|
