02/7/2009 09:14 | Biggest load of cobblers I have ever heard. So what if insts dont get the shares they want. If directors thought the share was still cheap, why would they spite themselves just to help out insts. Similarly, if insts wanted in, they could offer stock at a premium! The point is that the directors obviously felt this was a decent price to sell out at - why? 8trade - 2 Jul'09 - 09:06 - 1119 of 1119 That was to satisfy institutional demand ! | the_doctor
02/7/2009 09:06 | That was to satisfy institutional demand ! FWIW what is the point of holding large stakes in a company if you cant sell some now and again and enjoy your the fruits of your labour. No good if your shares are worth say 10 million if you cant sell some of them and say buy a nice house. This transaction worked out well for both parties, the directors freed up some money for themselves and the buyer got a decent stake at a good price. Nothing has changed, when it goes blue the traders rush in, when it goes red they rush out of the stock, the mm's are the winners but overall the fundamentals look solid so medium term you would expect the price to move to a fairer rating imo. | 8trade
02/7/2009 08:56 | Re why selling? Well, you've got two directors selling a big chunk at 49p That's hardly wonderful, no? | the_doctor
01/7/2009 10:05 | Ok and thanks. IMHO: There is substantial difference in the cash which could encourage new BB investors to take more of a look. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do charts that's why i invited someone else to have a go. | lr4850
01/7/2009 09:59 | Dont see that it makes much difference The old thread had a chart and news box etc. which I prefer | the_doctor
01/7/2009 09:54 | Have attempted a new thread. It might generate a bit more interest. I'm happy to go with an alternative. Also, thinking of getting some more at these silly prices? | lr4850
01/7/2009 09:52 | The Doc. There is 4 mm's in XPT with a 5p spread each, 3 of them are 47-52p and Evo is 46-51p, because of the selling at 47p they are offering stock at 49.7p, that is good value to me, those sales look like a day trader offloading, too many at same time to be different sellers. | 8trade
01/7/2009 09:49 | Feel we need a new thread given recent developments and to reflect the up to date situation. What do others think? | lr4850
01/7/2009 09:28 | Thread needs changing; more than 7 million in cash now. Anyone willing to do the honours? | lr4850
01/7/2009 09:15 | Do you think they're just looking at TA and concerned of a drop below 49p? How strong is L2, I dont have it today? | the_doctor
01/7/2009 08:41 | Looks like another buying opportunity coming up as day traders exit ! I like to know why people are selling this low, dont make sense unless they need the money for another trade ? | 8trade
27/6/2009 08:26 | An another thing. Its not like they could get in via a placing. We dont need one. | fandango
26/6/2009 23:03 | who is the buyer ??????? | still waiting
26/6/2009 20:35 | Don't disagree and good to see the scenarios being debated. | lr4850
26/6/2009 20:10 | Also there was a lot more traded than that so the "buyer" had obviously instructed their broker to approach other large holders and some could not resist the temptation to get size out without hurting the shareprice so all parties were happy, just wait for the holding rns next week to find out who bought or added. | 8trade
26/6/2009 20:08 | What they should have said is "due to strong institutional demand and lack of liquidity the directors have reduced their stakes in the company to satisfy that demand" It's not a negative rns at all, they let a big buyer in and free up some funds for themselves. As they will not be selling for at least 12 months the shareprice should actually respond positively that a buyer has wanted so much stock in the first place. | 8trade
26/6/2009 20:00 | The instos wouldnt want to mess about trying to buy that many in the market. I agree that the way it was done was the best way. They are in at a good level and far more likely to buy in the market now to add to their positions. Lets move on and await news of progress on the Storage Fusion front etc | fandango
26/6/2009 18:07 | If the instos had to buy them in the way we do in the market, the share price would be a lot higher than it is now. I think the timing of announcement was to avoid a late sell off as many expecting a more positive and constructive announcement than this damp squib? IMHO . | lr4850
26/6/2009 17:55 | I actually think this is all about ingratiating themselves with the Institutions. Several have been sniffing around and this was the only effective way of them buying in in size. The fact that there is a positive aftrer market tells me Insts are buying on. Quite happy. | square1

26/6/2009 17:29 | the next bit of news should propel us forward. the cash pile will go a long, long way... | still waiting
26/6/2009 10:11 | Such a large amount of cash in the bank could be used to buy good businesses cheap which are burdened with too much debt but otherwise healthy. It's a target rich environment right now and Xploite seem to be good at buying, building and selling companies within relatively short timescales for good profits. BUY | lplp
26/6/2009 09:06 | "With the benefit of having a strong balance sheet at time when valuations are very attractive, we are in an excellent position to create further shareholder value through identifying, acquiring, actively managing and disposing of ITC assets and businesses. We are now actively reviewing a number of options." | lgpixels
26/6/2009 08:59 | It could either be Ian Smith or a couple of institutions selling the latter is more likely. If we get a delay for an RNS they may well be looking for further block trades. It was reported at the results that the company was currently looking at a number of attractive deals. | lgpixels |
