I will never understand women. A few weeks ago, rabbits were the scourge of the planet as they were eating Mrs L's plants. I shot one today, skinned and gutted it ready for the pot. Mrs L is now into rabbit rights and I am a bunny murderer.

Can't win. She will enjoy the stew when her temper abates - so next millennium then.

Two days in the mountains to go and still Sky and Froome are looking good. Can Cav do it on the Champs Élysées on Sunday?

Sky looking good in the TdeF that was a nasty take out for G Thomas I hope his head didn't damage the telegraph pole, I see he has lost his white rimmed sunglasses.

Harold you know what they say about age, you mature like a fine wine, hopefully. Stuck in the airport in boiling temperatures and now we have a delay, great. Someone has just landed in their Lear jet, that could have been me if this had taken off. Oh well I'll have to stick to a 737 :-(

Gis/Fut, thanks for the birthday wishes but I passed the 60 ark a few years ago. I was helping a friend.

Been out on my bike as well recently after a 2 year lay off. The hills of North Devon are somewhat challenging for an elderly fella like me.

Rained all day here so, hopefully, will be able to get out in the garden tomorrow. Mrs L is seething as all of the tomato plants are showing signs of blight and the birds have pinched all of the gooseberries.

Geraint Thomas nearly came a cropper today in the TdF but luckily he is Welsh and only hit his head on the lamp post when he came off so is uninjured. What a ride he is having this year.

Hi Gismo still dealing with it but OK thanks two of my daughters have been round sorting mums stuff out for the charity shops they have been great they say it will help in the long run better to do it before the funeral than after.

Hi Fut sounds like you are recovering faster now, that's good but you must slow down on that bike of yours you can't keep up with them in France you will set light to the carpet!Last day on the beach today. Leave the hotel tomorrow afternoon back in Cardiff about 9.30 then going to Warwickshire for a couple of nights to see a friend near Stratford upon Avon.

Morning, in the north now, not very populated. Day off from the sun today, it's too fierce. Harold I think people just want something back now so they just gave in. Unless we have the money to fight them in the High Court then I suppose there's not a massive amount we can do except what you have suggested.

Hi Gis, no I have a lot of pain in my leg the day after so I am going to give it a break for a few days, I don't think it's going to get much better than it is now, just trying to improve my walking with the aid of some crutches. Overcast first thing but brightening up now.
Looking forward to today's TdF to see if Froome can do it again.

Fut, brilliant ride by Froome only soured by the people claiming that he is doping. Sky have been impeccable in their stance so its churlish.
