There will be plenty of time to buy under 1.5p by the looks of it even IF the next production update shows some improvement, you might as well wait til then rather than buy now and another mediocre report take us below 1p.

At what point to people think one should be buying WTI? Recent share price underperformance seems harsh now where recapitalization has taken place and we have a number of institutional investors buying shares almost 80% higher than one can pick them up in the market? Will WTI provide an update on operations once capital increase is done on 9 June?

Dodgy people? Weatherly have been lumbered with one of the worst for years. It will take a long, long time for the new CEO to establish any sort of credibility. His first few reports, even if bullish, will simply be viewed with the scepticism associated with anything that Webster said.I would rather Webster's dismissal was announced as such in plain English and that he was gone for ever, rather than this hanging on as a consultant but, he will know where all the skeletons are & there are likely to be plenty so, I imagine he threatened to squeal and this was the compromise. Can't see much in the way of direction here until the new guy has got his first two Q'ly updates under his belt, supported by the impact on the cash situation. As for the equity issuance at tuppence .. Why would you? Tonnes of stock available for a helluva lot less than that.

Tiger Noble.
Don't listen to them. I don't think you're gullible. I think you're being very conservative in your projections. Don't forget to add on the wages and hair dressing expenses that we wont be paying Rod to the profits column.

TigerNoble, you've just outlined the best case scenario there. You obviously haven't been in WTI very long as you'd realise that is highly unlikely to occur! It would require the planets to align..

Weatherly set to produce 10,000 tonnes of copper cathode this financial year. At a cost of approx $4300/$4400 and a sale. Price of $6400 they will make approx $2000 per tonne profit.$20,000,000 (£13 million) profit for this year for a company with a mcap of £14m. Each subsequent year will be 17,000 tonnes at at least $2000 profit per tonne. $34million per annum. This could be easily valued at 10 times the current price. Approx 14p per share

There were questions raised as to the accuracy of the Tsudi samples and leach times at the time they were first published, as I recall. It may be telling were these first samples made public and compared to the actual result experienced this year to date.It surely begs the question as to who determines what is drilled and where in producing these BFS reports. Is the process truly independent?Copper is trading higher than that used in the projections and the local currency a lot lower yet, still it is not wiping it's face.Is the whole process actually trustworthy?

Investments do and will occasionally not work out. That's investing.

What you seem to be suggesting here is that Orion have embarked on a grand and elaborate rouse to offer buying circa 25% of a company at a healthy 20% or so above the closing price at suspension only to be getting the knives sharpened behind the scenes?

Logiman and Legal&General appear to have been sucked in by this too (what mugs they must be).

Here's an idea, maybe all of these three have such faith in Tschudi working that they have decided to up their stake to make good money as and when Tschudi pays off? Sorry for taking things at face value and that the Orional problem was merely caused by a Soil Sample screw up by their so called and highly paid 'Competent Persons'?

As for your Rod Webster comments, you sound like s JFK conspiracy theorist.

Noone ever said C Ops wd be great - you fa about this share - you are generalising. VGM was strictly for idiots.

C Ops has gone bust at least 2 times before - it is marginal.

Its never that straight forward

The Chinese bought a stake in VGM at about 60p - everyone was enthused - surely they had done all their due diligence.

They finally got it all at about 3.7p a share

And it wasn't the Chinese that were at fault - it was the lying management.

Are there hidden problems here?

The market appears to think so.

Maybe Tschudi is a dud -- the same people that were saying that Central Ops was going to be great are the ones giving the cost forecasts at Tschudi

Why are logiman also subscribing at 2p? I guess they are also hoping to get shafted by Orion?

Mattjos - still waiting for your analysis on ACTA - I take your views with a pinch of salt - you have an over active imagination.

Why wd Orion subscribe for 172m shares at a premium? If they wanted to shaft the WTI shareholders then they are not making much of a job of it.

L&G would not have topped up just to average down. Funds rarely do that. They must believe Orion are playing with a straight bat.
