Another buy above the published offer price, this time a £6,000 buy at 487.45p compared to the 485p offer price.

Certainly keen buying coming in - the latest is a 1k buy at 485p, 5p above the 480p published offer price.

EDIT - which quickly prompted a move up.....

Good luck Melf!
....and as they're not all yours, perhaps we have two buyers in round figures - Even better.

Some, but not all are mine boadicea. I have been trying to reach my target holding before the results (300 short at the mo), but as you say, I've had trouble getting stock from Selftrade.

I'd like to think I'm partially responsible for the 20p rise in the last few days :-)

It looks to me as if we may have a persistent buyer who is having a problem getting stock without pushing up the price. He likes to buy in round figures and adds up to 4k shares since Monday. Just a guess!
However, if so, that's about £18k and he is presumably expecting to see a profit by results time - next month.

Impetus currently has 7 vacancies. It's interesting to peruse the site to see what they're up to.

The company describes itself as:

"Based in Warwick, the Company is private equity backed and is embarked on an ambitious growth strategy, based on maximising the value it generates from a loyal customer base."

I like the sound of that - let's hope ambitious growth strategy is well underway :-)

Thanks Riv

550p seems a reasonable target......perhaps that's why Selftrade are out of stock at the mo :-)

A tick up and new highs....

Results have been on 29th May for the last 2 years, so are starting to come into view.

Melf, without doing a precise calculation I'd have thought the JMP sale should take NAV to say 530p+ per share.

On top of that is any profit earned by the Group in H2'15. Since JMP was only disposed of at the end of the period, this could be another £0.8m+, so say another 20p per share (Impetus was essentially breakeven prior to acquisition).

And then there's the substantial additional value in the 3 remaining subsidiaries which has yet to be realised.

With the results due next month, I wonder what people's expectations are for the consolidated net assets per share figure following the disposal in the year. I'm looking for in excess of 500p. Any thoughts?

Nice £10k buy at 456p just through.

Online I can sell 3k at 442p, but only buy 1.5k maximum at the full 460p offer, so looking good.

A buys of just 500 shares has moved the price up, with the spread closing nicely.

MotionDSP in the USA have just announced the latest version 6.0 of their forensic video enhancement software, Ikena Forensic. Last year's version 5.0 incorporated Sira Defence's Siraview for the first time:

Not a bad client list....

"About MotionDSP

Agreed RP19. It's also worth Googling an image of their factory which looks quite impressive. I wonder what the market value of the company's land and buildings is? All very nice when you consider that the business is virtually "thrown in" at the current share price

I'm hopeful that the momentum behind Shire's good half year figures has continued into and through the winter period which is traditionally their better period. Their website looks like it may not have been updated for a while (news from 2010!), although admittedly it's probably not critical to the business.

From the Shire Foods website, where they claim to be the number 1 supplier in the sector. http://www.shirefoods.com/football.htmlFootballIn 1991 Shire pies went on sale at Coventry City Football Club. That was just the beginning of a remarkable success story involving sports fans and our hot pies.Shire pies and pasties are now on sale at football grounds all over the UK, including many Premiership stadiums, as well as many rugby grounds. The most popular pie is the Chicken Balti Pie. In fact it's now the number one half-time snack in the Premiership. That's a lot of fans up and down the UK who turn to a Shire Pie to give them some much-needed half-time comfort. We are proud to be the number one supplier in this sector.

Intriguing - I can now sell 10,000 shares online at 435p, but only buy a maximum 2,500 at the full 455p offer.

Looking encouraging.

I think that's correct Riv. It looks like all the trades on Friday were buys. Given how choppy the markets have been recently, I've been slowly accumulating here as I like the cash safety net. This is now my second largest holding.

Dummy trades suggest the above may be true - online I can sell 5,000 at 436p, but only buy 2,500 at 454p.

Good to see a tick up at Friday's close after an £8k buy at 454p.

Some sizeable trades during the day by VLE's standards may have cleared up Marks and Zimmerman's stock.

My understanding is you'll be able to buy pies from Amazon as part of a (balanced!?) fresh weekly shop as they compete with the likes Ocado etc within the M25.
