The volume can be misleading unless you have level 2 which shows te trades that go through in the plus markets. Not a great deal has passed through since yesterday, but plenty more than lse volume states.... This was always going to happen, as profit takers moved on from a successful short term trade.. Also, the MM will have used this to shake any weak holders out, and now good buying support at 60p again.. The way i see it is, do you think this is still good value, then buy some on weakness....

Just everyone who bought too high from Naked traders tip now panicking and selling off. Im not sure how he gets away with his 'tips' as its verging on a pump and dump..hes built up such a following that if everyone jumps in it is almost guaranteed to rise. As bad as a certain short term trader in the FT. I agree also, hes economical with the truth...couldnt have bought for 52p..yes that was the mid price but he would have paid 57p..bit of a difference. Also take a look at his sells...a few often go way past his stop loss, but then if they bounce back he will say he sold above his stop loss and still made a profit. Everyone else would have sold out at a loss. Has the most amazing crystal ball Ive seen, I suppose it helps when you dont have to report what you have done until well after the event

RB looks for breakouts, this was a prime candidate to move and move fast. If a share sits in a tight range with ok but not great liquididty, when it moves out of the range it tends to move rapidly and hard. Could be getting up to £1 quite quickly because there is just no selling pressure!

29palms- ADVFN only show LSE trades - a greater volume in small stocks goes through PLUS and this appears to be the trade under discussion: 05/08/2009 16:05:33 52.00 10,000 O 5,200.00 Source: http://www.plusmarketsgroup.com/data.shtml?ISIN=IL0010898463/GBX/PLUS-exn

Call me an old cynic but I would doubt MrNakedtrader website trades stating that he bought on 5th August at 52p as there was no 10000 trades that day. Check our own ADVFN trades listed for 5th August- http://www.advfn.com/p.php?pid=trades&btn=&symbol=LSE%3AVSC&dt_select=1249459200&trade_set=1&minimise= He also states that the shares were "stuck at 50p for weeks and weeks" Before this nice mark up last week this stock last seen 50p back in October 2008 A little uneconomical with the truth me thinks regarding Visonic. However, that said, some startling gains across the portfolio. As always DYOR Regards, 29palms

And that would be illegal........ Seriously though i know what you mean - it must be tempting to sell straight away! Release a buy rec, watch it rise 40% and then get out. Do his sell notes cause similar carnage on the downside? I have never looked at that side but i cant imagine its pretty.

I agree with you, its like printing money for him, but his credentials are so highly rated, and such a large following, but his criteria for picking shares is based on soild fundementals, and clean balance sheets, which has put him where he is.. Having said that, i would love to be where he is now.. i would have my trading stock ready to sell, the moment the market makers stopped the huge mark up on the day it was tipped, then keep my mid term stuff for capitol growth.. But thats just me..

Is it not somewhat of a self fulfilling prophecy though? If i pick a small high risk stock with relatively low volumes and send that tip to X thouusand of people who all buy in i am sure i could have a similar track record. Its just pump and dump on a massive scale - but fairplay to the guy for gettimg the following in the first place. Thats the bit that takes the skill.

NIIICCCCEEEE :-) they are doing a good job ... back above 0,60 :-) Visonic H1 pretax rises four fold; says positive sales trend continues in H2 LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Visonic Ltd. said its pretax profit for the first half increased four fold on a 20 percent increase in sales and added that that positive trend in sales has continued into the beginning of the second half of 2008. The company it derived the performance from its well-established customer base, reflecting rising demand for Visonic's products in its major geographic markets Europe and North America, as well as the success of Visonic's strategy of building sales by developing new channels to market through relationships with major security and utility companies. For the six months ended June 30, the company said its pretax profit jumped to $4.3 million compared with 1 million last year as its sales rose to $44.65 million compared with $37.1 million last year.

The trouble with this one is that it has become so illiqid. As far as I can see only four trades on two days in the last 3 weeks - 3 trades, value about £9k, on 21st and 5k, value £2.4k, this morning.

Visonic to supply Sector Alarm Holdings A.S Monday, February 4 Visonic to supply Sector Alarm Holdings A.S with PowerMax security system Visonic (LSE: VSC.L; TASE: VSC.TA), the international developer and manufacturer of electronic security systems (alarms) and home management systems, is pleased to announce it has signed a new distribution contract with Sector Alarm Holdings AS (Sector Alarm), one of the leading Scandinavian security companies based in Norway. Sector Alarm is an existing customer of Visonic and is a provider of alarm monitoring services in Norway, Sweden and the UK. The two companies have agreed a new two year supply contract worth approximately $10 million, designating Visonic as the sole provider to Sector Alarm of alarm systems such as Visonic's groundbreaking PowerMax system, accessories and peripheral products. This contract is in line with Visonic's strategy of increasing sales through professional distributors and major security companies. With more than 80.000 customers, Sector Alarm is one of the main players in the Scandinavian market and its sales are growing faster than the market as a whole. Based on its vision of "Safety in all our homes" which focuses on private households, Sector Alarm expects to continue to improve its market position. Commenting, Dr.Avi Shachrai, CEO and President of Visonic, said:"We are delighted at the signing of a two year contract to supply our sophisticated and innovative security system, PowerMax, and related products, to one of Scandinavia's market leaders, with whom we have developed a significant business over the past two years. This agreement furthers our strategy of developing sales through partnerships with leading security companies, such as Sector Alarm, creating exciting new opportunities for both companies. We expect up to $10 million of sales will be generated under the contract, which will further strengthen our market position in Norway, Sweden and the UK."Jørgen Dahl, President and CEO, Sector Alarm Holdings A.Sadded:"Visonic's flagship alarm system, the PowerMax is the ideal product for our residential customer base. Sector Alarm is already recognised as one of the leading providers of monitored intruder alarm systems in Sweden and Norway and we are now extending our operations in the UK. In all three markets, the combination of Visonic's powerful but simple to use wireless technology and our experience in the residential property means that we will be able to continue to provide new and existing customers with the best possible service and care." - ENDS -
