11/1/2008 08:05 | If they are merely adding extra data & graphical analysis to their existing product, then I'm not sure why it is called "a new business division". You wouldn't want to do that if all you were doing was adding a new department to handle the backend support. Agreed it will no doubt appeal to existing customers, but the wording seems to suggest VERO trying to appeal to customers beyond their traditional mould & die base - "the start of a process allowing manufacturing and industry users alike to unlock the benefits of their data collection systems" Or maybe it's just marketing speak? | valhamos
11/1/2008 01:47 | I would agree with you LPF-this a product that there is a demand for from their existing Customers. Vero up today from 15/16.5p to 16/17p and it will interesting see if VERO can build on this rally in the coming days. Anyhow, as already mentioned in Post 22 for the reasons given strongly believe that share price will be substantially higher come April, regardless of general market conditions. Today was another wake up call, reminding Investors just how cheap VERO is ! Regards | rainmaker
10/1/2008 09:06 | Valhamos: no, I interpreted it as the other way around: as a new product for its existing customers. New venture because it's a different software sector, and will mean the building of a new team within VERO to handle the backend support. | lpf
10/1/2008 07:44 | New venture announced - designed to address the Business Intelligence needs of the Manufacturing sector. "..it has licensed the leading data mining solution Mineset from Silicon Graphics Inc. in California and further developed the system for specific market sectors." Details of Mineset - the link highlights the impressive graphics: Interesting... as it has been announced as a new venture rather than an extension to the product range it presumably is expected to reach new customers, those not already using Vero's existing CAD/CAM software? | valhamos
22/12/2007 23:58 | For anyone reading about Vero (VERO) for the first time, they are trading on a prospective/forward Price To Earnings ratio of just 7.5 times regards | rainmaker
22/12/2007 23:54 | Thanks Des-Though I understand your sentiment, I'm in for the long haul and expect 30p in the New Year.IMHO very attractive risk to reward ratio at current levels.Despite Dollar weakness, with a good/reasonable set of results, news of new acquisitions this is perfectly attainable since VERO in the last few years trades at 15 times historic earnings. Anyhow, strongly believe that share price will be a lot higher in April than it is now. Is PG back?, as I note that someone bought 50K clip on Friday at 16p regards | rainmaker
29/11/2007 10:52 | Must be honest and say I'm surprised at the relative strength here. Maybe it's PG bidding it up. I sold out on the spike as I didn't like the interims or the dollar/US exposure. A poor RNS from DLC this morning. Good luck to holders. | deswalker
26/10/2007 12:43 | Anybody spoken to the Company recently? Are we going to have a trading update? regards | rainmaker
15/10/2007 13:37 | Many thanks regards | rainmaker
11/10/2007 21:43 | Flashy new web site: | smarkmmm
25/9/2007 01:35 | Nice looking chart-maybe what we have witnessed, in the drop from May highs of 23.5 to 15.5 is the completion of a 50% retracement of the move from the all time 9p lows. This fits in nicely with a 30p technical objective-the recent high of 23.5p + the length of the pullback 8p. Also note that VERO has, in the last year or so, traded at around 15 times it's historic earnings at it's highest rating(note it had EPS of 1.51 when it was trading at 23.5 in May this year) so 15 times forecast eps of 2.06 gives a share price of 30p in April 2008.I actually believe that VERO will comfortably beat forecasts and will also trade on a higher rating but anyway, a 100%+ profit over six months in the offering?? regards | rainmaker
22/9/2007 08:47 | No problem buying Shares magazine though, which I thought IC outsold by 3/4 to 1 PS Shares Magazine up for sale at just £10mln? regards | rainmaker
22/9/2007 08:45 | Thanks for checking. I no longer bother to subscribe. There must be quite a few others like me, as it is increasing hard to find and it is not even stocked in my local WH Smiths. I note that VERO moved up yesterday but IMHO is still incredibly cheap as per previous postings regards | rainmaker
21/9/2007 11:08 | There has been no mention in IC ,including today's,or online. they seem to be reporting less and less on microcaps these days. | erwarsim
16/9/2007 00:45 | Judging by a series purchases on Friday and the recent release of the interim results,Vero may well have been tipped the in the latest issue of Investors Chronicle. Can anyone paraphrase what they said? regards | rainmaker
12/9/2007 00:55 | As before nothing too exciting just steady progress-still dramatically undervalued and expect them to exceed expectations for the current year. Lack of (good) Broker coverage and dividend(I know it shouldn't matter)is adversely affecting Vero's rating. In the absence of favourable news, don't expect the share price to make significant progress until the end of the first quarter/beginning of second quarter 2008. Looking back over the 10 year Chart, I note that there is a fairly strong pattern with positive abnormal gains around the period already mentioned with the exception of the dot com crash era and the recent malaise over the last few years.Still a huge fan of the Company but just being realistic. regards | rainmaker
07/9/2007 10:49 | I think the deferred revenue is already factored in, Exactly - that's why the full-year figure is so much higher than double the interim figure; the same this year as last. I was a bit surprised to see trade receivables so high: £6.3m, compared to £11.0m turnover; that's equivalent to an average payment time of 7 months. The cash situation could be improved significantly by bringing that down to a more reasonable level, and would reduce the risk of another unfortunate incident like VISI US Inc. Despite this, pretty good results: nothing too exciting, just steady progress - a great way to build shareholder value. Regards, Le Petit Fou (long VERO) | lpf
06/9/2007 08:25 | Des - I think the deferred revenue is already factored in, that is, it is a normal feature at the half year stage. I believe it is the maintenance element of software licences being recognised rateably over the whole year. Under previous UK GAAP it was recognised in full once the software was delivered. Certainly in the IFRS transition statement in last year's interims there was a similar figure. | valhamos
06/9/2007 08:11 | Yup. Wish they'd do a normalised EPS figure. Now where's my calculator? Certainly PBT looks on course to beat expectations for the year. | wjccghcc
06/9/2007 08:06 | Don't forget the £0.5mill deferred revenue and associated profits. | deswalker
06/9/2007 08:02 | Results pretty much in line - good top line growth but increases in product development with work on integration and development of recent acquisitions. Need to think a bit more about the tax charge - a perennial problem - with the £131k deferred tax charge (2006: nil). Still looks to be on course for approx. 2p eps for the year which makes it cheap IMO. | valhamos
06/9/2007 07:59 | good results, especially as they paid all that deferred tax too. Look on course to beat with the heavily weighted H2 CR | cockneyrebel
03/9/2007 12:55 | Cheers Tole - nice and illiquid too - the old share price won't need much buying to get the price racing. CR | cockneyrebel
03/9/2007 12:53 | Agreed 100%-Let's hope for an optimistic trading statement. If so believe will fly. Many thanks for setting up new thread regards | rainmaker |
