Spoke the Company and Annual Report will be released on 6 April or thereabouts. Expecting a postive set of results and for the share price to make excellent progress over the next few weeks.

Hi Silverfern-I agree that superficially it does not look good but they have recently changed Brokers(I'm not sure that there previous Broker Blue Oar, which was frequently berated and criticised on this thread, still exists)but the prelims are out on 26 March, I believe and with forecasts for 2008 of around 2.60p(and around 3.30p for 2009) there should be a positive impact on the share price. However if you were to tell me that they should be more public relations friendly, I wouldn't disagree.

INvesters here should consider the service their company is giving them - the economic climate and prevailing opportunities should lead you to demand a bett erflow of information
- because you don't even know when annoucements/results are coming it ties your invesmtment up while you wait and
- because you have no idea how the company is doing you are being made to take risks.
Silence leads to daft posts dreaming what may or may not happen. And silence leads me to believe management don't give a toss about you. MAybe Monday they'll announce they are printing cash for a living, or maybe not.

Where is there a suggestion that results are delayed ?

Cheers...sold half on-line in the end and got a better bid.
I don't like the delay in results ...in my experience never meant good news.

Happy to risk other half for now.

VERO's almost always very illiquid. Don't trade it online: phone your broker and get them to work the order manually.

Who are the mm's on this share ?
They won't even let you sell £500 at bid and will not let you out unless you accept 10% BELOW the current bid.

They are worse than Investment bankers !

Hi LPF, Post the Company's year end on Dec 31, I note that they raised the forecast to 2.58p and lowered the current years to 3.33p- sub 5 times which is ridiculous

Digital Look has forecasts in the range 3.3 - 3.6p in the last month; I assume that at least one of those was from Blue Oar.

I think it might be a good idea to speak to the new Broker. I'm not worried about the contents of the forecasts because there are making huge cost savings-£500k of annual savings

There is still no trading update though and last year it was a week ago. Maybe the company waiting for the new broker advisor to tell them what to say ?? It has been very quiet from the company for months. When was the last broker note and forecast from Blue Oar so that we can compare if a new one is released shortly from Daniel Stewart ?

Looks like the Company's Broker just got the bullet! I think it's fair to say that the previous Broker, Blue Oar did not make a good impression as far as Posters here were concerned and I don't think anyone will be sorry to see them go!Actually they were taken over and no longer exist as an entity?! Whatever happened it's a positive move

The new Broker and nominated adviser is Paul Shackleton at Daniel Stewart & Company plc,Telephone 0207 7776 6550

Rainmaker - 22 Jan'09 - Spec-Let the Vero share price do the talking-the share price could reach 30/35p in the next month

I'm watching this one, but any company in this climate that thinks it's ok to post sod all in five months loses my interest. Leads to 'post and hope' like the one above

Actually I've just noticed, Vero Software(VERO) have had a 50% retracement so on a measured move basis next stop should be 20p

Hi Spec -I'll double check the chart but I believe the key or acute reversal is still intact-there should be a positive trading statement this week so hopefully the share price will start climbing again. Certainly very undervalued but I believe the Company could do a lot more on the PR front

Hi and thanks H&T,no really as I'm too sure what screens I should be using. In my experience often you never know what you are looking for until you have found it. Apart from Uniq(UNIQ) the only other idea I've managed to come up with is SDI Group(SDIG) a great franchise in integrated materials handling solutions ie designs, builds and supports Warehouses for the International Retail, Wholesale and E-Commerce Businesses where you can buy £1 coins for 50 pence pieces. I'm sure there must be similiar opportunities amongst the so called "Flatliners" or "Living Dead" but at the moment I just can't find them!Maybe I should produce a list of net net bargains(ie those Cos trading at or less than Net Working Capital which is current assets less all liabilities) on the Value thread

Vero Software will probably release a trading update next week so hopefully there will be news of a dividend-hence the Capital restructuring a while ago for that sole purpose

hello all

rainmaker..have really benefitted from your informative posts....much appreciated........i really like the theory of finding oversold companies, which look fundamentally sound and have great recovery potential.... i looked at your long list of such potential companies on another thread...have you managed to whittle it down to a few worth closer inspection.

for your benefit

hrg seem to be in the middle of a takeover battle...check out the history and various recent accumulations
afren appear very oversold
lamprell look like a great recovery stock

if you have any worth a look at it would be much appreciated

Or if the earnings per share for last year are 2.58p as predicted then 18 times historic earnings would equate to 45p a share(that a 200% return), not that hard to imagine if they introduce a dividend and/or make another acquisition.Sorry mistake in previous post, eps for 2008 should obviously be 2.58p not 3.58p-I've corrected it.

2.58p for 2008 and 3.33p for the current year so it's clearly undervalued. In recent years it's traded as high as 18 times historic earnings-eps for 2007 were 1.79p so that would equate to 32p a share so on that basis there's plenty of upside
