VALLAR PLC APPOINTS NICK VON SCHIRNDING AS HEAD OF GROUP COMMUNICATIONS
Vallar PLC ("Vallar") is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick von Schirnding as Head of Group Communications and Investor Relations. Nick will report to Vallar's chief executive, Ari Hudaya, and will be a member of the group's executive team. The appointment is effective from 9 May 2011.
Nick was previously head of Investor & Corporate Affairs at Anglo American plc, where he played a key role in its primary listing on the London Stock Exchange. In his earlier career Nick also worked with the De Beers and Minorco mining groups.
Ari said "I am pleased to announce that Nick is joining our Group, particularly given his wealth of experience in the mining and minerals sector. We enthusiastically welcome him to our organization and look forward to the significant contribution he will make."
