Greg had a couple of top-ups which finally triggered the rise after 250k worth of buys earlier today.

5 years ago today Alexei Maximov, former Chief Exec of UEN, was interviewed by EnergyBoardroom (a professional Oil&Gas focused energy sector analysis and reporting journal).

The interview gave an interesting insight into the background history of Urals and detailed future plans at that stage.

2012 was for all intense purposes the new dawn for Urals and a point where the company had finally overcome all it's legacy issues and could move forward and start to grow again.

At the time in 2012
Total daily production was 2065 bopd (currently about 2300bopd)
The shareprice traded between 4.6-10p during the year
Total annual production was 738,204 barrels (2016 total production = 756,690 after decline in each of the years following 2012).
Only the oil price in 2012 (trading between $80-$120) was much higher although cost reduction since and Ruble to dollar exchange rate somewhat offsets this difference.

Although the interview will provide you with no new insights it is worth a read - Alexei Maximov at the time thought the shareprice was vastly undervalued then - now with all of the progress that has been made since you could say that the price is downright criminal!

I have to agree, something fishy going on. That rns and number of sells doesn't justify this kind of drop with the interest shown before the rns and the steady buys since. Some days has we have seen buys out number sells at day's end and still no retrace up.
Manipulation here for sure IMO.
