I've just spoken to Mr Dalacombe

He assured me that they have applied for EIS 2 and this happened some months ago, he told me that the applications often took some months (he has apparently been involved with other EIS applications in the past). I asked him whether he expected approval before the tax deadline in January and he stated he would be very surprised if he didn't have approval by then. He assured me that as soon as aproval was given (assuming it will be given) he would sent out the certificates straight away.

Thanks, I'll give Mr Delacombe a ring early next week.

I've just had another browse of the original prospectus and on page 15, it states:

"The Directors have obtained confirmation from the Inland Revenue in accordance with Inland Revenue practice, that subject to a form EIS 1 being submitted, the company is carrying on a qualifying trade for EIS purposes. The directors intend to manage the company so to maintain (as far as they are able) the status of the company as a qualifying company although no guarantee can be given in this regard"

I therefore think we can be reasonably certain that TVC applied for EIS, (although I will ask for confirmation when I phone) and they must have a reasonable chance of getting Inland Revenue approval. If they do get approval, let's hope it's before the tax return deadline in January.

I guess if EIS approval is granted after the deadline, I will attempt to get the income tax rebate for tax year 2004-2005 (retrospective to submitting my 2004-2005 tax return) and use the capital gains deferral for tax year 2005-2006, as I will defer all my 2004-2005 taxable capital gains with other EIS investments made in both tax year 2004-2005 and 2005-2006

yes, ive got a contact number somewhere in my files, and will search it out.. in the meantime he (co sec) told me they hadnt got their EIS 2 yet, and so couldnt send out our eis3's.
On another company im having a similar problem, and am trying to track down if they actually applied for eis 2 in the first place, or just fobbing me off!
The inland rev are no good, im doing searches at companies house, and if i find a way to get some facts, ill post here.

Does anyone have the phone number for the company?

I really would like to find out what the situation is with respect to EIS tax status. If there is going to be an EIS tax certificate forthcoming, when will it arrive? Will it be before the deadline for tax returns which is some time in January? The uncertainty is playing havoc with my tax planning!

I certainly do not wish to talk to Vince again on the subject, I am still haunted by his sign off last time we spoke on the phone: "love you and leave you", but I would like to talk to the FD or company secretary, does anyone have the contact details?

Because if he can get TVC up to 20-30p (or more) and sell his holding to institutional investors he will make a killing compared to the 'chicken-feed' he gets from his other activities.

price is down one day, up the next... is something brewing... its no secret vince will be looking for a 'trade sale' of the Company at some stage... and if he is making suck a packet spread betting, and teaching spreadbetters, why bother running a company ?

Their RNS speaks of £300k+ turnover in just a few months, could well be OVER £1m per year with a sub £4m cap....and this should be at a very high gross margin due to low O'heads.......this has multibagger potential imho..........

I continue to slowly accumulate these...you can trade well inside the wide spread if you time it right.....I find Squaregain (formerly Comdirect) an especially good broker for this.

Opinions only.

Trading Update

TV Commerce (TVC), the AIM listed media and entertainment company, is pleased to
announce that is has received approval from the Broadcast Advertising Clearance
Centre (BACC) to advertise its "(R)Your Destiny TV" and "(R)Mobile Betting" on
third-party channels.

Significantly this is the first time that approval has been given for psychic
and betting related programmes and should increase the number of viewers to each
of these formats.

"(R)Your Destiny TV" has now booked advertising airtime throughout October on
channels including "(R)UK Living", "(R)Sci-Fi", "(R)Hallmark", "(R)Sky One" and
"(R)E entertainment". In addition, the telephone text "(R)Psychic Chat"
service, launched earlier this year currently has in excess of 15,000 users and
the "(R)internet streaming Web TV" service has added an important distribution
channel adding to the number of viewers internationally.

Following the announcement of the mobile betting joint venture with Probability
Games Corporation in July of this year, TV Commerce has successfully run a test
television advertising campaign on a number of TV channels including "(R)Men &
Motors", "(R)Challenge TV", "(R)Poker Channel", and "(R)Channel 5". Further
campaigns have been booked with "(R)Freeview", "(R)Sky Digital" and UK
terrestrial channels throughout October.

Commenting on the success in achieving approval for these campaigns, Vince
Stanzione, Chief Executive of TV Commerce, said "The approval of the BAAC
for these campaigns is a first for the industry and should see an increase in
both market awareness and user numbers".

Come on Vince, just send me my EIS certificate, I've got all the other EIS certificates now, and I want to send off my tax form for tax year 2004/2005 so I can claim my (circa) £20K tax rebate.

Thanks in advance.

Idea sounds good, but will it generate profits.

This company could have potential if it starts to show it then who knows,
but how many people want to watch TV at premium rates - I stand to be corrected here - on a mobile?

Nice idea

but it doesn't seem to work, at least not from my computer. I suggest you sort it out Vince (if you are tuning in)

I'm still waiting for my EIS certificate, I did four EIS companies last year, have received two certificates so far, but I'm still waiting for the other two certificates. I just wish they would arrive soon, I just want to get on and fill in my tax return and claim my £20K tax rebate off of Gordon (from my numerous EIS and VCT investments). LOL
