12/2/2016 15:27 | i have some even better news this all comes from the failed PUMP and DUMP man 21trader the man who PUMPED ADSS TNCI AUK JSI CPX AEO | singer8
12/2/2016 15:21 | Got some bad news for you phil the market cap is some 5-6 times higher than advfn is saying so not quite the bargain you thought it was. 250,000 is 0.2% So 2.5 mil is 2%, 25 mil is 20% so 125 mil shares in issue times 4+ say around 6.5 mil. Sorry to tell you that | sharetips6
12/2/2016 15:17 | Picked up another 100k today - still very undervalued at just £1M! Net assets come out at £14M after all those RECENT write downs. Two price rises in 12 months; lower fuel costs; new management; new products; no more sales at a loss after pruning the low margin stuff; massive over-head reductions etc etc. Trading update in next week will put a rocket under SPGH - MASSIVE BUSINESS POTENTIAL BUT PRICED TO GO BUST! | philjeans
11/2/2016 14:07 | thats quite an assumption,how do you know who's holding long term? | boycie1
11/2/2016 14:05 | To clarify I take the view that at present my maximum loss (based on bust scenario) is x amount. Equally that loss would be less than what I stand to lose if company recovery underway. Only makes sense if you are already invested I guess. I'm rambling, goodnight from me and goodnight from him!!! | jackbal
11/2/2016 14:02 | agreed - in relative terms thats a large amount of selling but in actual terms's less than 20k so I take the view that market makers will (majority of time) mark stocks down when the chance arises regardless of fundamentals. I could easily/likley be wrong but some of the other posters on this board seem sensible and patient and I would rather see this go to 0 than back to 15-30 and be out. | jackbal
11/2/2016 13:55 | you might be staying but someone dumped a fair bit there :) | boycie1
11/2/2016 13:52 | this share price came very close to spiking in December. Fundamentals can not have changed that dramatically since then. If next results confirm turnaround is on track fundamentals will win eventually. Probably a good day for the market makers to fill their boots as they came very close to being caught short last year. Not for trading though. I did that last year and after more research decided to stay. | jackbal
11/2/2016 13:43 | someone decided they've had enough? | boycie1
03/2/2016 09:29 | high volumes by the standards currently being set! Hopefully a few more shares purchased we will be edging upwards again. If only it was that simple! | jackbal
02/2/2016 14:31 | A couple of little nibbles over the last few days? | cyberbub
21/1/2016 09:12 | Someone buying up the recent small sales... The RSI is now rock-bottom and perhaps we can hope for a recovery in the coming weeks? Assuming the wider markets behave... NAI | cyberbub
18/1/2016 22:42 | The fact remains that the net asset value declared in the last results is £14M, with very few intangibles (with modest net debt also) - twice the current market cap.As I said a few weeks ago, I imagine that at some point after its turnaround is confirmed, one of the other two UK glass wool manufacturers (or a foreign firm looking for a way in) will be running the numbers over Superglass for a takeover. I can't see how Gyllenhammar hopes to exit otherwise, with such a big holding. While HNWs are not infallible, you have to assume that Mr G's record stands for something...I think a takeover sometime in 2017 for around 15p or so.No advice intended. | cyberbub
18/1/2016 13:42 | That did make me smile ! par for the course with the utility firms from my experience. Perversely I am hoping price will dip a bit further so I can add a few before run up to results. Wouldn't make much difference to my avg price at the mo so feels pointless doing anything at this price with this spread. | jackbal
14/1/2016 11:53 | Is it possible they can use hedging to lock in low energy costs. Apologiess if this seems a silly question but I have previously admitted i'm no expert. | jackbal
06/1/2016 10:41 | Yes, energy must be a massive component of cost of sales, so any cost reductions will feed straight to the bottom line. | cyberbub
06/1/2016 10:03 | Thanks for comments CBub. I'm no expert on cashflow analysis but I might add that as well as sale price increases I remember reading somewhere that this company would be a big beneficiary of falling energy costs. | jackbal
05/1/2016 23:54 | Thinking a bit more about the last figures, I was getting a bit jittery about the substantial payables, and in effect that the working capital position was negative. However I am a little more relaxed thinking about it now, because that position was at 31st August, and the negative position was only by about £1M. The likelihood 4 months later is that (especially with the sale price increases feeding through), the company is now cashflow positive, and perhaps the working capital position has swung to be about breakevens. If working capital is still slightly negative, the company doesn't seem to have used all of its Close Brothers banking facility, so could increase its borrowing level to compensate? Obviously this would be only sustainable in the short term, but perfectly reasonable if the company can see that it will be clearly cashflow-positive within a few months, say. Any comments? | cyberbub
