Acquisition of freehold property
Stewart & Wight plc ("the company") has contracted to purchase of the freehold property 75 High Street Barnstaple this week. Barclays Bank has agreed to lend the Company GBP1m towards the purchase price of GBP1,130,000. The balance will be met from own funds.
The property is let to Costa Limited for a term of 12 years from 25 March 2006 at a current rent of GBP85,000 per annum. The property is let on a full repairing and insuring lease.
The Board of Stewart & Wight considers that this acquisition will be a valuable addition to its property portfolio.
