Sound Energy, the European and African focused upstream gas company, announces that it has been notified of an acquisition of EUR100,000 of the Company's 5.0% unsecured notes due 21 June 2021 ("5.0% Bonds") by Greenberry Plc ("Greenberry") on 24 November 2016 at an aggregate price of EUR96,850. The 5.0% Bonds are traded on the Euro MTF Market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

Marco Fumagalli, a director of the Company, is Managing Partner of, and a 25% shareholder in, Continental Investment Partners SA ("Continental"). Greenberry is an affiliate of Continental by virtue of its common ownership.

The notification below, made in accordance with the requirements of the Market Abuse Regulation, provides further detail.
