I think captain kirk mentioned it, in the annual report it states spudding was on 23rd march, it was mentioned twice in the report, whereas in the RNs if 20th March it states "drilling operations commenced", so they may only be 21 days in, if they found nothing in upper horizon they may have crossed the Abu madi by now, but since no news, fingers crossed they may have encountered hydrocarbons.Imho

The well is targeting gas in the upper Abu Madi section and oil in the lower AEB & Abu Roash sections. Drilling operations are anticipated to take between 30 and 45 days, depending upon what is encountered in the targeted intervals.----- this is from spud RNS.My guess, they have encountered in Abu Madi. Paul won't say something to the market until he knows what he is going to say.

It's not an unusual pattern on the chart, as far as I can tell. We look to be going up in a channel & currently sit on/around the bottom of it. Just imo. Perhaps a v good buying point.

I have a few shares already but would like more. Could have timed my buy better and got more today but who knew we would drop again today. If the shares stay at these levels next week I may have some cash available to top-up again. If it can just stay at this level until next Wednesday or so it would be nice for me personally, although a better strategy may be to just wait for the news and react accordingly. If it drops wait a day or two to see if it goes lower, if good news and we go higher buy anyway!

when that happens you know it certainly undervalued, 35p gives an mkt cap of 60m, 40p give mkt cap of 74m.

That is extremely cheap if they go to either of those levels, considering the company is expected to generate $31m free cash flow this year and $41m in 2018, this free cash flow is calculated after all expenses for further drilling etc.

7 shallow wells will be drilled in morocco in H2 2017 which is expected to double current production, the growth here is amazing, I cant seem to find any other aim company selling gas for $9 per mcf and costing them only $1 per mcf.

Don't forget in the coming months our meseda production is expected to double also.

So in conclusion SDX is very cheap company, expecting news sometime next week.

Maybe your harder decision will be as to what to do on success.

There is absolutely nothing at this stage to know whether the drill has been successful or unsuccessful. The only thing that has changed is that we are closer to knowing!

That causes some nervousness, that causes sells and that gets more sells as people read more into it than there is.

Sit back, enjoy the weekend, and then lets see what next week brings....

Good post neo but there will be an inevitable fall back if SD fails, the challenge will be to buy as many as you can on the short lived weakness.

I think investors need to think with their hearts rather than their emotions, what we know is that the company is good.

at 40p the company would be valued at 74m, current share price the mkt cap is around 90m, this is easily discounted for sd-1x failure.

Company has no debt, abundance of cash available and making over $3m per month, what more can you ask for.

Some investors are giving a weak reason for selling as they are speculating bad news is coming, lets say bad news is coming, it is not the end, they are drilling deeper in the horizon where there is an estimate 100m barrels of oil, which is almost double the estimation of the shallow horizon of gas in oil equivalent.

I think current share price is cheap without the SD1x. If some are expecting 35p, good luck. On paper this is a excellent stock...

Ouch!! Just got back from walking part of the beautiful Monsal Trail in Derbyshire and find that the MMs have raped us today. Mind you every day without news now I think they will try it on.

Be a long weekend, fingers crossed that we have found something.

Yes I know - but couldn't work out why it was being asked for on an LSE stock. At work - so can't really call them up to put a phone trade in.

ifthecapfits,

That is a US tax form & only a requirement for US listed stock. SDX is not listed in US, only UK and Canada. Some brokers try to force investors to complete the form regardless - you should contact them and tell them your not buying a US stock.

IMHO. There are a few good opportunities to make some money .. SDX is one!

SDx has
1. no debt
2. FCF
3. A multi well drilling program in Morocco which is around 4 or 5 wells to be drilled consecutively in H1.
(Osiris-1X in the Abi Roash., they will probably test after Anubis-1X.)
4. Meseda facility upgrade and Drill 2 development wells (pending government approval) and 2 exploration wells
5. Circle assets revenue and historic receivables.
6. Morocco
-- Sebou
o Drill up to 5 wells in H2 2017; 3 development and 2 appraisal

o Look to increase Gas volumes to existing customers and agree contracts with, and start supplying volumes to, new customers

-- Lalla Mimouna
o In H1 2017, high-grade 2 prospects for drilling

o Drill these 2 prospects in H2 2017

For SD1x, I would be expecting drilling results between 21apr and 05may.

Possibly oil and gas (looking for gas in the Upper Abu Madi section and oil in the Lower AEB and Abu Roash sections) .. but gas only with a good result and the share price should kick on to around 60p by may17, but flow results will take longer May to jun17.

Just tried to buy some more in my ISA and had a message pop up that I needed to complete a W8BEN form. I don't recall having this when buying in my SIPP. Anyone else come across this?
