19/10/2016 07:55 | Maybe the want to identify to what depth Alpala goes to meet the criteria for jorc or equivalent resourse update. Alpala could then be hived off while solg get on with exploration in the other target areas! just a thought ....GLA HOLDERS looking forward to a much higher share price | wisteria2
18/10/2016 17:13 | Noccer. ..I was think on the same line. Don't think theyre hiding something....it's worth asking the question to the CEO.Glad u spotted it too. | smoothtrader
18/10/2016 16:59 | This part in the RNS looks to contain an editing mistake as it has a "This" and its far from clear what it refers to. It also has "At Alpala" in almost every sentence, which is a bit redundant. Looks a bit rushed to me. "SolGold’s planned resource statement at Alpala (the most advanced target at Cascabel) has been delayed by the discovery of high grade mineralisation in Holes 15R2, 16 and 17 at Alpala, extending the immediate resource potential. The Alpala deposit is open at depth and in the upper extensions, as well as to the north, north-east, south-east and south-west. This will initially be achieved from intersections targeted in holes 018, 019, 020 which have commenced at Alpala and are targeting lower extensions of the Alpala deposit in the bornite bearing wide centre sections." Not clear to me when the resource statement is expected. I thought it was near-surface intersections in hole 17 that caused the delay and here they are going after the deeper part. Maybe Newcrest are of the opinion that the depth is not too much of an issue if the grade is good enough, and with the higher grades being deeper the resource could grow quite a bit if it continues downwards. Newcrest do know about the block-caving approach to mining deep resource, though I have just read that Rio Tinto and BHP have a project in Arizona where the ore body is between 1500m and 2150m deep, so its not so rare. | noccer
18/10/2016 15:29 | Yeah and only four years to go unlike 12 | cool hand kev
18/10/2016 15:19 | Bb quiet considering this has come up from 2p. Rampers leaving us be unlike last time price soared. This time fundementals are better. Perhaps investors think they have missed the boat. Gut feeling is bottom price is 20p | mam fach
18/10/2016 13:43 | I suppose a potential buyer will want irrefutable proof of the size and quality of the resource, and then a feasibility study. Although Newcrest having dug deep into their pockets must be well convinced already, it's perhaps a case of just how much more there is to be discovered. Finding high value ore close to the surface would be very handy, and might prompt an early bid? It would be great to see some big hitter mining company's slug it out to own it :¬) | lefrene
18/10/2016 13:30 | I very much doubt it...Solg gold will be still drilling in the next two years. They'll be taken out by a major for sure. | smoothtrader
18/10/2016 13:24 | Strange that market is selling into this news. | chesty1
18/10/2016 13:23 | With a time scale of two to four years it looks like the hot money is going to head elsewhere? | lefrene

18/10/2016 10:34 | Perhaps the employers of the usual yah-boo nay sayers are now happy with the positions they have accumulated Rodders? All they have to do now is wait for the value of the resource to be established and recognised. | lefrene
18/10/2016 09:46 | I do like the fact that this thread is so quiet. SP doing so well and herd have no idea yet. ODR | onedayrodders

17/10/2016 19:25 | GD, me neither! Good Luck ( to us all ) | alwaysevolving
17/10/2016 00:31 | Alpala - 18 holes drilled for 22,000m - interim maiden resource expected in Q3 2016.An extract from a recent RNS. Should give the share price a nice lift. | smoothtrader
16/10/2016 12:59 | alwaysevolving, The unlikely Brexit U turn could just happen with all our politicians running around like headless chickens. A job I would not want for sure. I have no idea where Brexit will go! ATB, GD | greatfull dead
16/10/2016 09:59 | GD, Agree with you on the implications of Brexit. Re the pound and rising prices (fuel already on the way up) IMO we ain't seen nothing yet?! Only thing is that you state "if it were" to happen. Unfortunately it looks very much like it is happening. No way I can see the government doing what would amount to the biggest U-turn in history. | alwaysevolving
14/10/2016 15:40 | lefrene, Given the current US v GBP exchange rate caused mostly by Brexit farce. Should the share price drop US16c while drilling continues ( very possible) it would be prudent to build up a war chest to buy more SOLG should that situation transpires. ATB, GD PS. I very much doubt if and politician, businessman, bank or institution understands the implications if Brexit were to happen to the GBP. Comments change daily on the subject. | greatfull dead
14/10/2016 12:15 | Evidently Newcrest are convinced of the value here, and we know BHP are attempting to throw their weight around, and they won't be the only ones to have noticed that there is likely to be a long term resource at Cascabel. Yet more patience required, but it seems unlikely that the share price will drop below US16c while the drilling continues. Not too much of 2016 left so not too long to wait for that resource statement. | lefrene |
