|dealit: The last set of results were encourageing and with 4 contract wins building on the client base I cannot think why the share price will not move north.|
|dealit: Nice contract win announced today although no financial details released, makes 4 contract wins since the last result. IMHO a true test of STF`s products 90% of customers renew contracts, the share price should rise before results on 28th Sept 10.|
|jeanesy: Why the need for a share price movE ? The company is good at putting out RNS'S that having nothing to do with contracts. Even when they do there is no value put on them and therefore it is impossible to say how good they are. IMO be very cautious with what price you pay here!|
|kirs: possibly a little better now the share price has dropped... More attractive now if 15p is the year end target.|
|kirs: Lot of selling today - someone must be waiting to pick these up..... Maybe after today's drop, the PE is starting to look better.
Only thing that really concerned me was that Debtors have gone down substantially. Normally a good sign as the company become more efficient - and hope it is that, plus the company having less lumpy sales. But conversely it means less future cash. I am sure it is not an issue as they seem to have built up decent cash buffers - could be £2m by the end of the year?
Not sure they need to buy anything more though as they hint - making a good profit on what they have and paying a divi would not be the worst thing they could do to their share price.|
|masurenguy: jeanesy - 19 Sep'09 - 413: This board is very quiet considering we are only days away from the interim results. Having been a long term holder in these shares I am getting nervous because this company has a nasty habit of not meeting the broker expectations. There has been several broker upgrades recently and a lot of positive news, so the results will have to be good or the share price will drop quite dramatically imo, so lets hope they can deliver this time!
Feeling a bit less nervous now jeanesy ? A breakout like this suggests that there could be some people who either know or have good reason to anticipate that this weeks interims will be very positive !|

|jeanesy: I have been a shareholder in stf for several years. The company has always had potential but has failed so far to live up to expectations. It has on numerous occasions failed to meet its own broker expectations on profit/loss and that is why the share price has sunk so low. There is nothing in its recent announcement that should mean such a massive percentage increase in one day. I have advised caution because unlike those people who have piled into this share trying to make a quick buck I do , contrary to what you have tried to make out, know something about this company ! Perhaps spiritfinder you can tell us all what the expected profit this company is likely to announce in September will be.|
|masurenguy: kirs - 25 Jun'09 - 09:11 - 340 of 340: At 7p, I am not sure that they would be an interested seller given they floated at 9p. At 17p - not a lot return for management or investors over the last 5 years. At 27p - then it becomes interesting - but therein lies the challenge - how does the business get to an enterprise value of 27p - or 22p and a 5p premium
I agree that the current share price would not be interesting to shareholders but any predator would have to offer a premium - maybe double the current price - and there are always earnout options that can be utilized in cases like this, which STF themselves applied when making the Astech acquisition last year.|
|masurenguy: Both companies have there merits and everyone has to make their own judgement calls. However whilst the STF share price is off by 10% over the past 4 months ALN's is down 25% over the same period.|
