Posted at 27/7/2016 13:55 by simon gordon mad,Yes, I read the SEC view on SERV. I am interested in the story but will hold back to see if the 2017 forecast is managed down as it gets closer. |
Posted at 27/7/2016 09:24 by mad foetus Hi Simon,Not directly but I have recently taken a reasonable position in SEC, and SERV is their biggest investment, so I keep an eye out here. The write up on SERV in the SEC report that is linked to earlier in this thread is worth reading if you are considering buying in here. |

Posted at 11/3/2015 11:51 by gohil18 Sold some of my holding this morning. Must say I'm quite disappointed with the results myself. PBT actually down and lots of talk of delays. Revenue growth was good as was the announcement of a maiden dividend. But overall I felt they were really quite uninspiring. Still hold a few but mostly sold out of a couple of largish positions. Think their are better prospect elsewhere without so many question marks. |
Posted at 18/2/2015 08:23 by gohil18 Super news. Especially like the bit that says: "The Board estimates that this creates an addressable market of over £500m." |
Posted at 02/2/2015 13:54 by silverfern MY timing to sell seems right.NOt to do with SERV but I wanted in on PRV on results day so sold last week. If the falls signify nothing I shall buy back in |
Posted at 29/12/2014 15:43 by silverfern THanks for the comment Layabout. As this isn't my strong area I only have a limited holding. SERV are winning business and so is COreleogic. If the one can iron out the perceived errors in the other then it might be a good match. |
Posted at 17/3/2014 16:07 by rolo7 idea got birmingham hospital deals. I though serv were going to use UHB as a role model a bit worrying if serv cant get contracts around birmingham. |
Posted at 26/2/2014 16:24 by protean "I also bought some more Servelec (SERV). I bought quite a few in December at 212 and it has already served up profits of more than 25%. I've been attracted in to buy more, it was moving up in a down market yesterday so I added this time getting another lot at 266 yesterday .The market really seems to like this one and it continues to have great prospects for a rise up to and above 300. There is plenty of support for it on the order book too so all in all looks like a nice new top up for me." |
Posted at 15/12/2013 14:49 by simon gordon SERV - 12/12T/0 - £39.4m PBT - £10.9m Net Cash - c.£5m? Market Cap - £153m EPS - c.12p? (£10.9m minus 25% tax = £8.175m divided by 68.4m shares = 11.95p) 224p divided by 12p = 18.6x *Looks like they'll do similar in 2013, 1H 2013 was down c.500K on 2012. ASW - 02/14 T/O - £199.1m PBT - £36m Net Debt - c.£50m Market Cap - £442.8m EPS - 5.86p 93.9p divided by 5.86p = 16x The SERV forecast is a rough guess. But on the surface ASW have bigger scale, more muscle and deeper ties with the NHS. I suppose what is key is the new products SERV has got coming down the pipe and whether as a small operator they will grow more quickly They look to be equally valued once debt/cash is balanced out. |
