19/12/2016 08:49 | NG, Thats the drilling game! Great 3D seismics but wonder will they drill again or is it going to be another Dunquin? No signs yet if ENI are going to do 3D seismics at Dunquin South but there were 3 ENI dudes in nice shiny suits at recent Atlantic Ireland Conference. | hermana3
19/12/2016 08:43 | Not surprising really. Look at the share price action. All but tripled up to the spud. Those that got in early enough should have taken profits off the table and just let a little run on the drill. The question is will the same happen here? Hopefully it will as above is my plan, though a better drill outcome would be nice ;) | ngms27
19/12/2016 08:32 | COPL eating dust bigtime today. | hermana3
19/12/2016 07:58 | Re: 490k Friday trade - someone is confident | stockriser
19/12/2016 07:54 | I think there are no better ways than to lose your money than MATD. Looks like another FRR or RRL to me. | ngms27
19/12/2016 07:52 | 490k bought at close of play on Friday, at 13.75p, can we have our 20% rise today please. | cgod
18/12/2016 22:07 | I have shares in this and MATD and while MATD has highly prospective acreage it is PVR that has the biggest drill of 2017. The multi-billion figures provided by MATD in the November 16 RNS are estimates of basin wide potential across 6 gigantic basins not the size of the individual prospects to be targeted on their 2 wildcat drills in 2017. The figures seem rather like those USGS might issue for estimated prospectivity in a given region. The PVR figures for the Druid/Drombeg well on the other hand are the actual recoverable figures for the targeted prospects and they are huge. Once MATD has chosen individual prospects from it's extensive drill-ready high impact prospect portfolio, we can compare the drills with Druid/Drombeg, but given that the total recoverable oil for their portfolio is 2.7 to 6.9 billion barrels based on a 30% recovery factor, it is highly unlikely any of their individual drills will be anywhere near the size of the Druid/Drombeg drill. Nevertheless, as a MATD shareholder, I await their updates with great interest. | phoebusav
18/12/2016 14:12 | MATD are after shale oil aren't they? I don't think you can can compare as they are not gonna drill a high impact well that could prove up 5Bln barrels. Shale oil will require 100's of wells to exploit. | zhockey
18/12/2016 08:40 | El Jefe's Annual address could be early doors. Expect optimism on Druid/Drombeg and anything else would be helpful. Confidence in Irish Oil and Gas sector on the rise since last Licensing Round but nobody but Providence organising drilling for 2017. Rest are happy to sit on wallets and let Providence lead the way. Druid/Drombeg could be the catalyst for a period of serious action in 2018.... | hermana3
18/12/2016 08:28 | Will see a nice pickup if farmout negogiations provide a positive outcome. Druid could be the first as it offers the huge potential that Big Oil wants. No idea where the interest will come from but Petronas and the Americans are probably favourites. Providence have a good Drilling Manager onboard for Druid but big oil likes to operate so he may have more than easygoing Tony and John breathing down on him before long...... | hermana3
18/12/2016 07:39 | Like these but strictly speaking its not the biggest play in the world next year matd is. Their 2 exploratories next year are set to begin to prove up the first 9-23b barrels and I bet they get their farminee first too with the latest comments from pvr on their negotiations in that regard. | bad gateway
18/12/2016 00:49 | This is a very quiet thread, most on here I remember from 10 years back. Which suggests that most of the buying over the past few weeks has been from institutions and relatively few RI's. Will be interesting to see what happens once word gets around about PVR, surely the prospect of getting in on the biggest oil drill anywhere in the world next year, for pennies, will be hard to resist? I remember the hype around FOGL and they had no where near the quality of data and prospect(s) that PVR have. | zhockey
17/12/2016 09:26 | The would come in right handy! | funtimejonny
