Herm, In most cases its always been down to the Chief. The USA has had many Chief's. Some terrible, some good and some great! If your referring to the rise in POO, I admit Trump has help slightly.

Herm, Lucky you. I do agree his statements have partly attributable to the recent rises. There are other factors Iin my opinion that have to. Like OPEC and non Opec countries agreeing to reducing the amount of oil released to the world.

Herm, Your opinions differ from mine in all statements in your post. We differ but it does not stop respecting your opinions on Trump, his family or even though you have not referred to it yet, some of his choices for administration which require Senate confirmation.

Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, rose 4.27% to $56.67 a barrel on London's ICE Futures exchange. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate futures were trading up 4.80% at $53.95 a barrel.

Why is anyone willing to trade at 12.38p? I can sell over 250K at 12.5p as I could on Friday. And on a day when crude is going through the roof. Some folks never learn. Crazy!
