01/10/2016 19:08 | Thermofisher Are clearly keeping these guys afloat | dave444
01/10/2016 19:05 | You really are clueless!!!!!TWIX we have had our differences from a long time ago over something stupid which we both over reacted to - my comments are driven by fact - others can believe what they want - best chance is a Thermofisher takeover and they have enough to convert to ensure that - an interesting point is that in the long battle between the big guys - the more strings you have to you bow - the more you can strangle the competition | dave444
01/10/2016 19:00 | "The consultant in question has presented at an international fetal medicine conference" so what, big deal! ha ha laughable, jog on | hjb1
01/10/2016 18:57 | Dave is stating the obvious, the idea that cost will not fall significantly is daft. medical research moves at a pace and can leave companies like this behind with debt based on unrealistic income projections if they are not 100% on the ball. I'm not saying this will happen, just that it can and very quickly. I worked in medical research for 36 years and believe me today's innovation is next weeks old hat. | blackss
01/10/2016 18:56 | I seem to remember a figure of £50 profit per test. At some point a bottom will be touched.......erm... Because Premaitha have a bottom line should not affect their income, they are selling a commodity. The big marketing battle will be fought out between the 'retailers' and not affect Premaitha massively, only the profit they are making from the in-house service. | dire cons
01/10/2016 18:55 | You would not know a fact if hit you in the head! You need to know the market which clearly you do not!The consultant in question has presented at an international fetal medicine conference but there you go! | dave444
01/10/2016 18:49 | I'm stating facts pal, not your rubbish about this company,or that consultant can do it for a a beer and a packet of crips,, absolute hogwash! Hey Dave Illumina fan and shareholder perchance? lol. | hjb1
01/10/2016 18:48 | The provision of a kit is not the big cost as one company manufacturing cost is $15 and supplies it for $100.The bigger cost is the processing which certainly in Europe is expensive. | dave444
01/10/2016 18:42 | They currently charge £250 and the market will charge for full service £200 going forwardInterestingly one consultant in the UK states he can do the full service for 100 that remains to be proven and their is another company saying they have in development a cost much lower than even that priceThe market is moving quickly and people like you should not mislead people | dave444
01/10/2016 18:20 | IONA test kit – sales of the kit to clinical testing labs and overseas distributors for an estimated £100-150 per kit ► Full service sales – where blood samples are sent to Premaitha’s labs to be analysed for an estimated £200-250 per test | hjb1
01/10/2016 18:18 | Smart guy I would be interested in your opinion on the price! | dave444
01/10/2016 18:17 | The company charge £250 smart guy! | dave444
01/10/2016 18:10 | oh really! lol | hjb1
01/10/2016 17:43 | The £250 is the sale price smart guy! | dave444
01/10/2016 17:26 | so at what price do you reckon Prem will sell the kits for then? and where is it £250 a pop now? | hjb1
01/10/2016 17:13 | How much you want to put on it - it is already at £250 a pop now!NHS tender will come in where? | dave444
01/10/2016 17:09 | it won't be £200 a pop next year...just ridiculous! | hjb1
01/10/2016 16:40 | It will be £200 a pop in 2017 and the world wide market is already over half a million a year - puts things into perspective don't you think! | dave444
01/10/2016 16:31 | It will only go down if/when they start selling millions of them...won't be a problem then. | hjb1
01/10/2016 15:48 | The problem is one of cost - these tests will go down to £200 a pop that then causes these platforms to be unprofitable potentially unless they find a different methodology as one has | dave444
01/10/2016 15:16 | exactly BlackSS, I felt it was a mistake at the time and said so. Our partnership with Ariosa is only relevant to the validity of Illumina's patent argument. We are not partnering them in the other core aspect, that we do not infringe it anyway. If we had faith in that defense then we never should have delayed, as it just gave us another year of commercial attacks, weaker customer interest and additional costs. This was belatedly realised and we floated the idea that we would be prepared to pay a license fee under conditions for all the damage, time and cost it was causing. No hindsight. I said this at the time and straight off. I suspect Illumina either said 'on yer bike' or will wait to inflict maximum commercial damage first before considering a settlement much nearer the court date thus maximising their gameplan and our pain. Only if we were not sufficiently sure of the likely outcome to original court date (which would have been THIS month for main caseand we have always said we expect to win) does this additional year's delay make sense to me and as I say if it made sense we would not have tried backtracking with the belated offer to pay for a license to stop all the pain! There is soooo much promise here, but I'd like to see more delivered so that the share price reflects even a portion of the BOD's long running talk. | twix386
01/10/2016 15:04 | hj Is that why Prem have set aside £5.4m to fight it ? You miss the point, they have stopped prem moving forward in europe and tied up £5m + which is what it all about, its not about winning a case.Prem delaying the court case till late next year just played into their hands IMHO. | blackss
01/10/2016 13:58 | Counter argument in The Times today saying essentially it should be offered to all and up to the individual to make a choice as to termination. | waterloo01 |
