Adept Limited Launch Lamb Plugs to the Meat Industry with Plantic Injection
Moulding resin

MELBOURNE, Australia - 12th November 2009 - Adept Limited, New Zealand's leading
plastics product development and manufacturing company in the meat industry, has
introduced new biodegradable lamb plugs, made possible through the advanced
biopolymer technology of Plantic Technologies Limited.

As part of their integrated product development process, Adept has been
developing a new biodegradable lamb plug using Plantic's Injection Moulding
resin, creating value with an environmentally, sustainable product offering for
their clients. Adept chose the Plantic resin for its unique functional and
environmental benefits. The Adept / Plantic Lamb Plugs are fully biodegradable,
water dispersible, home compostable and compostable to European (EN 13432) and
American (ASTM 6400) standards. Additionally, Plantic materials - which are
made from non-GM corn starch - have a renewable bio-content of approximately
85%.

In commenting, Murray Fenton, Managing Director from Adept Limited said, "Since
our decision to incorporate Plantic in our product offering, there has been
keen interest in the plugs from the NZ Meat Industry and internationally. We
look forward to introducing our new biodegradable plugs to a number of new
clients, both locally and overseas."

Brendan Morris, Chief Executive Officer, Plantic Technologies, commented, "We
are pleased that Adept Limited are using Plantic's bioresponsible products which
represents their commitment to sustainability and the environment. Plantic is
pleased to be associated with Adept, whose name is synonymous with continuous
improvement and a leading global supplier of innovative devices to the primary
meat processing industry."

"Plantic offers Adept sustainably-sourced IM resin which delivers superior value
through a combination of functional and environmental benefits."
