I've not seen anything either.

Lifeoriley - was money credited directly to yur bank account or your Brokerage account?

I use TD Waterhouse, and cans see all the corporate action notifications but no cash yet.

Unless they have sent cheques out in the post?

"A Scheme booklet containing information relating to the proposed acquisition,
reasons for the Independent Board Committee's unanimous recommendation, and
details of the Scheme meeting is expected to be sent to Plantic shareholders in
mid-September 2010 with a shareholder meeting to vote on the proposed Scheme to
be held in mid-October 2010. Subject to the approval of the Scheme by
shareholders and the Court and the timely satisfaction or waiver of conditions,
Plantic expects the transactions to be completed during October 2010.

The decision to act now was IMO because the process takes until the end of the year and PLNT was due to need further funding by early 2011.

I wasn't aware until today that National Starch is in the process of being taken over by Corn Products International. Completion is expected by the end of September. I wonder if that was part of the opportunistic decision to act now.

You fool. You are the only anonymous muppet on here.

Conclusion you can not trust an anonymous muppet on a bulletin board

The deceitful and disingenuous themoneymuppet2 normally brings you EK's ramps with such alacrity but this time he has shown his true pumping and dumping nature LOL

Sorry about that. I read EK's piece over the weekend and didn't see a mention. Must be the South Coast Edition. Still can't see the 'quote' on here either.

I don't think there is much doubt that this share has been taken down this low to facilitate the current proceedings. I still think 8p gives quite a bit of "head room" for counter bids to appear.

12p to 15p would be more like it. The costs of getting things into production would remain the same. The current cap is still only circa £6m. National Starch must have that in petty cash. And what with BP's mess up of the Mexican Gulf this has got to be a winner long term from an American perspective.
