In accordance with Rule 4.3 of the UK Listing Authority's Disclosure and 
Transparency rules, Octopus Apollo VCT 4 plc ("Apollo 4" or "Fund") presents an 
Interim Management Statement for the period 1 August 2011 to 30 September 
2011.  The statement also includes relevant financial information between the 
end of the period and the date of this statement.

Investment performance 
At  30 September 2011 the NAV of the  Fund was 92.2p, which compares to 92.4p at 
31 July  2011. The  Fund  has  performed  in  line  with  expectations against a 
backdrop  of uncertainty and low  economic growth as a  result of the consistent 
income  stream  generated  by  the  Fund.  There  have  been  no  changes in the 
valuations of the companies in its portfolio. 
 
During the period under review, a follow-on investment of  GBP35,448 was made in 
Carebase (Col) Limited, a construction company. This forms a part of the overall 
 GBP231,275 investment made in this company.
