On 2 July 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 30,500 GBP shares
at a range of prices from GBP 10.60 to GBP 10.65 (the "Transaction")

On 2 July 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 30,000 US$ shares
at a price of US$ 10.60 (the "Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
30,500 of its GBP issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued GBP shares of the Company to 34,286,064. (the
"Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
30,000 of its US$ issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued US$ shares of the Company to 21,899,701. (the
"Transaction")

Following the Transaction, there are now in issue (to the exclusion
of those held in treasury) 57,733,161 EUR Shares, 19,849,214 US$
Shares and 31,164,088 GBP Shares.  The total number of shares held in
treasury are 5,940,862 EUR Shares, 2,050,487 US$ Shares and 3,121,976
GBP Shares.

All shares purchased on the 2 July 2008 were purchased on London
Stock Exchange.
