Appointment of Chief Technology Officer

Mporium Group plc (AIM:MPM), the technology firm delivering event-driven marketing, is delighted to announce the appointment of Aleksander Øhrn as Chief Technology Officer ("CTO") with immediate effect.

Aleksander was most recently the co-founder and CTO of Cxense, a position that he held for the past seven years. Prior to joining Cxense, Aleksander worked for Microsoft's Bing web search engine as Principal Software Development Engineer. Aleksander was previously the Chief Scientist for Fast Search & Transfer (FAST), where he worked on search technology and computational linguistics.

He holds a PhD in computer science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo, Norway. Aleksander is also a member of the Technology Advisory Board at Unacast.
