Recommended in today's Investors Chronicle (online) by Simon Thompson.

Basically he agrees with the 180p sum of the parts valuation produced by Equity Development week.

Does anyone want to talk me through the pension fund situation. I know what my thoughts are but that's not a lot of use if other investors have a different take.

I share your pain on this one meijiman as I am nursing a 40% loss and it is by far the worst performing share on my limited portfolio. I am still going to hold as the new boss may bring about an improvement and let's hope the cautious Half year results are just that, a bit too cautious. At least it still makes a profit and pays a little divi, so not a complete basket case. Some you win in this game some you lose.
I bought the share for the flimsiest of reasons. As a teenager I used to go past the factory on the bus from Aylesbury to High Wycombe and see the gleaming machines in their showroom window and thought they looked pretty impressive and wondered what they did. Now I know. Nostalgia is not the most sound method of stockpicking!

New investors might like to view this as a recovery play and take a punt. At these prices, if the positive story goes right you could do well. Analysts value it at 90p. Good luck.

Problem is that every time management sounds half confident the next news is a profits warning. They don't seem to have any great visibility. It all looks good and then the expected orders don't materialise and the forecast numbers are taken down. Sure the shares are cheap but investors need some assurance that the company can grow the business for more than one half year period.

From 28 April there will be no stamp duty on AIM listed shares. This may attract further investors / make the stock more liquid?

This is one that Simon Thompson (Investors Chronicle) is currently tracking so it is highly likely to spike up further when he updates on today's results. His last target price was 220p which is likely to be increased imo.

Well, MLIN is now doing what we had expected weeks ago, after the AR. Good.

That new fund manager must now have sold out or at least stopped selling at that price; it's gone faster than I expected. Observing L2, I could see that selling was at just below 167 (165-169 spread), hence all buys would look sells on my other screen.

I hope this costly exercise will not cost the fund investors too much money or the manager too much of his/her bonus at their expense.
