04/4/2012 13:36 | Annoying that someone should dump 20k @ 100p. Still, not a short-term trade this so no matter. Should one add with a tight limit @ , say, 103p perhaps? | skyship
22/3/2012 14:11 | And I had missed that! Encouraging | alanji
22/3/2012 13:47 | Alan - thnx for that - had entirely forgotten that divi... Also like this piece from the new directorship report: ==================== John Mackie CBE Following an early career in retail management he qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co in Glasgow. He then spent 5 years with 3I Group before joining Morgan Grenfell Private Equity in 1990 as a founder director. He was chief executive of the British Venture Capital association from 2000-2006 and a partner in Parallel Private Equity LLP until 2011. He is also chairman of Henderson Private Equity Investment Trust plc and holds a number of other positions with private companies. ==================== HPEQ has of course been a brilliant PE trust winding-up play - hopefully his experience will assist the same liquidation very slowly ongoing here... | skyship

16/2/2012 16:10 | Troy Asset Management, named after a race horse! just lurking for the moment. | praipus
16/2/2012 15:57 | pvb - it most certainly does; and is precisely why I decided to buy this week rather than wait for a cheaper offer @ 100p - just wasn't coming. Why miss a good long-term profit for the sake of a few pennies, as I managed to do with DNE this morning. Posted about that on the SL & PE threads. The Private Equity companies are really turning it on as a sector at the moment. APEF, MTH & PIN now the only three still significantly undervalued. MTH doesn't seem it on the surface from its stated NAV, but as RAM has detailed over on the APEF thread, there is plenty under the bonnet here. | skyship
16/2/2012 15:15 | Troy Asset_ Management_ Limited have increased their holding in Mithras IT (MTH) to over 11%. If that means anything. | pvb

09/11/2010 15:24 | Capital Gearing Trust PLC CGT has a holding here. share price implies a circa 20% discount as of 9-Nov-2010. | praipus
26/4/2010 22:59 | yes, still here. It's still good value, with no commmitment issues, a reasonable port, a div and a remit to return nav. | rambutan2
26/4/2010 17:05 | Anyone watching this company? Lonely here! | mew199
31/5/2008 23:22 | hi badtime, it wasn't in cash but in corp bonds. Looks like they preferred to switch into listed peits on big discounts as a better way to keep liquidity. | rambutan2
30/5/2008 21:25 | Y reduce cash to 14% from 40% (mar/may) asset allocation ..when u r looking to windup the company? | badtime

12/3/2001 11:29 | First time I've looked at it, in response to your post - MTH doesn't look obviously enticing - what's the attraction? For: The warrants are fully 'stretched out' (dunno the 'proper' term, but the warrants are trading at [exercise price] pence below the underlying share), which I like, and the share seems to be trending up. Against: upside for the price doens't look like more than 10p (a good 30% rise, admittedly), while the downside, in TA terms looks substantial - has broken a rising trend, and not done much since. If it manages to get back into that rising trend, it might be interesting to me, but at a cost of maybe half the upside. | zzaxx99 |
