10/6/2008 09:27 | LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Shares in Misys Plc. were higher in early deals, boosted by UBS upgrading its recommendation on the stock to 'neutral' from 'sell' Tuesday, although its 160 pence price target was unchanged, according to traders. At 8:17 a.m., shares in Misys were up 4 pence at 148, while the FTSE 250 index was down 39.6 points at 9,701.7. UBS noted this morning that Misys shares have fallen 18 percent since their Healthcare Analyst Day in mid-May and are underperforming the European peer group. It thinks this underperformance is likely to moderate and feels positives can be taken from the company's defensive revenue base, while its equity ree cash flow yield of 8 percent is supportive, in the broker's opinion. Regarding full year 2008 results, UBS continues to highlight licence risks in healthcare, but thinks that lower investments will offset the bottom-line impact of this. In banking, the broker noted that Misys entered the fourth quarter 2008 with a decent backlog and its checks suggest demand and execution were satisfactory, although the broker said it could not rule out some slippage at the end of the quarter. Elsewhere, the broker continues to have concerns on the earnings impact of the Allscripts deal and the potential for disruption as the transaction closes. In addition, it feels risks to demand in treasury and capital markets will remain at the forefront of investors' minds. | sravi
01/5/2008 13:09 | Misys downgraded to "sell" By Panmure Gordon & Co | | | LONDON, April 30 (newratings.com) - Analyst George O'Connor of Panmure Gordon downgrades Misys Plc (ticker: MSY-GBX) from "buy" to "sell." The target price has been reduced from 166p to 144p. In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the turnaround at the company's Banking division has been remarkable. Going forward, Misys (LSE: MSY.L - news) is expected to merge its Healthcare division with Allscripts, a US provider, a deal that would cause some disturbance to its sales staff and customers, the analyst says. There is uncertainty surrounding the capital markets and the prospects of the company's Healthcare and Treasury divisions, Panmure Gordon adds | frdjacob

18/3/2008 08:24 | Well, we now know that yesterday's strength was the result of the customary leak. It will take a little time to digest the implications of the health-care merger, but the internally generated recovery looks to be usefully on track. Pity about the current financial background conditions - probably lucky to have got the placing fixed in the circumstances. At least people won't cease to require health care. | boadicea
17/3/2008 21:19 | I think it may have smething to do with a small item in yesterday's Sunday Telegraph. It implied there would be some sort of announcement in the morning. It was very vague but the inference was some sort of corporate action. | impecunious
17/3/2008 18:42 | Very interesting that MSY should shine on a day like today - the better riser (only two) in my portfolio. Someone must reckon the banks need more of their product! | boadicea
11/3/2008 09:42 | That would give it a yield of nearly 7% It would also be a new low. At what level do you think sentiment would turn positive? | frdjacob

04/3/2008 16:04 | I agree. A bit overdone, particularly as the last figures and comment suggested that they had not been affexted by sub prime problem thus far. Oh and share price has fallen 50%. In my opinion, chart wise, time for a rally | prokartace
03/3/2008 08:27 | Thanks, seems a bit overdone though. | frdjacob |
