hulk2004,

As in everything shareholders tend to overhype the situation, certainly the early MDW days did that. However PSAwatch as a product although good was never going to take off in this country.
MDW was too small to take it internationally in any real way.
In the end MDW was spread too wide and too thinly, it really did need more behind it. Unfortunately they were unable to get any real backing and therefore could just continue as they were and bring the new products into reality and hope that a certain company offered to acquire them.
Laborie have been sniffing around MDW's market for quite a long time now and the BoD were well aware of this. They have been very good at adding things to the shopfront window and making sure the window was dressed as well as possible.
Sometimes this is ignored, although some have aired their grievances the BoD have managed to get us a large premium to the share price over the last 2 years. Yes it may leave some out of pocket, but a lot less than they were back in September at 2.25p bid.

Anyway, it is now coming to a close and people will soon have cash, instead of MDW paper and that in itself is a start. Good luck everyone.

Trout.

Not quite but in the final straight, Barry.

Looks like hardly anyone bothered to vote, bearing in mind there were 41% of irrevocable acceptances already.

Anyway end of January should see the final court case and payment early February.

Happy Christmas to all Mediwatchers, the Mediwaiting is nearly over.....

Dorset, you have pilloried me for the last two and a half years while I have been posting my research here. I felt that we would see a higher share price and posted as such, I also bought all the way through. You have tried many times to trip that up, but in the end the share price has more than doubled with this offer and there has been a huge opportunity for people to buy more over this time.

You have tried to push other stocks, AGQ, TPL, TAIH, VST and recently IOF and TPL again, as well as physical silver, you have been proved spectacularly wrong on all of them and I just hope no-one followed your 'tips'.

If you don't think telling everyone there is always a chance it won't go through and to vote against the takeover and then after the voting has closed jump ship isn't a little duplicitous, then you are really showing your true colours.

You enjoy your trip, I am sure the Aussies will give you the same welcome that I would...LOLOLZZZZ

Let's hope the vote is a resounding yes and we get our money shortly after and then I can get this monkey off my back....no not MDW, LOL!...my ADVFN stalker...

banjo there have been plenty of people that have sold and taken the money but, they didn't post with others trying to give hope and encourage others to vote no.
If you really believed there was a chance then why not stick with it, vote no and carry on the campaign. If I had followed you and the others and voted no and came back tonight to see you had sold out, I would be rather annoyed.

Ignore him banjo, as for Trout stating 'give everyone hope and encourage.....then sell up..... isn't that exactly what he has done now, & advised all others to do the very same?

I wish you all (well most of you) a happy xmas & new year as this weekend I'm off for a trip around Australia, Singapore & Dubai until the end of January. Trouble is I'm taking in the Melbourne & Sydney tests matches so I guess I'll have a bit of time on my hands there lol.

trout,that's a bit unfair!

You have regularly stated that in your opinion it's a done deal and then gone on to say if it fails then the share price would return to the 2p level or lower!

All votes are passed now and at the end of the day it's up to the individual whether to buy or sell shares.

All I've done is sell early with a slight penalty and taken all the uncertainty out of the equation.

Nice touch from banjo, give everyone hope and encourage a vote against the takeover, then sell up beforehand.

Banjo,
Because I believe it will be voted through and the small percentage difference is still worth quite a bit to me. Like you I invested in MDW, I did my research and I bought lots over the last two and a half years when very few others did. So I am also upset with 6p but rather than get emotional about it, I realise that is all we are going to get, so want to get the full 6p now if that is alright with you.

Where have I said I want the money sooner than later, I want the vote over and then the money ASAP after that, if Laborie take over our company then they can pay for it quickly.

Why do you suddenly want other shareholders to sell out at less than 6p? Is it because my YES votes won't then count, get real, whoever is buying the sells will be voting Yes for the offer so they can make their quick percentage turn on the deal.

You need to cheer up a bit, without the 6p offer we would be around 2p-2.5p and still with an uphill struggle and now against a competitor with huge backing and consolidating the marketplace and you think that is the better option???

again trout,if you want the money sooner than later why don't you sell now,you would make up the small percentage difference quickly and with all the risk taken out? ie if the voting does not reach the 75% or above.

banjo, If the vote is passed, it will be a done deal, no other company could buy it, in reality there is no other company or white knight and 6p was the best deal they could get.

I hope they get it through and get our money to us as quickly as possible, many shares in the small cap market have been correcting recently and already, new investments look cheaper, I think it may continue and with the right timing and stockpicking you can make the 6p into 10p in a far shorter time than if you had to rely on MDW to get there. A look at the chart in the header shows what happens to the premium of an offer if it doesn't go ahead and you would be wanting 10p, it doesn't add up.

Many years ago I commuted into London, when faced with underground trains, every third one went all the way to my destination, with the other two only going part of the way, but I always got the first one and completed as much of my journey as I could, the reason apart from LT breaking down all the time, we had the IRA and left luggage/suspicious packages causing regular stoppages, at any moment the train system could be shut down. So by getting as much of your journey done when you could, you had less to go in the event of a stoppage and you were also getting out away from where the likely shutdowns were going to happen.

The same is happening here, the MDW train is only going to 6p but you want to get off at 10p, I am taking the train to 6p and will get on another one that will take me the rest of the way.

Afternoon trout,

Yep,I probably left it too late for my vote to count but my bank offered the service this morning along with a Ref.No.so you never know!

It is quite possible that another medical company is waiting for the result of the voting before making an offer above 7p,how likely is another matter of course but I've voted or tried to vote and feel better for it-lol!

As said before my average is 6.1p so instead of being something like £20k+ down I'm now showing a small loss but 10p would have given me a £20k+ profit which would have been much better!
