12/12/2007 13:54 | What a lark this investment game is. I sold out of MSR last summer at breakeven after holding for 18 months, disappointed at the range bound price and slow progress. Then I was kicking myself for being impatient as it looked like doubling over the next 6 months. Then the wheels come off, completely out of the blue, and it ends up down here! Makes one wonder whether it is worth the stress of bothering with these microcaps. Perhaps FTSE 350 with a dividend and a bit of growth thrown in is the way to go. | drewz
12/12/2007 09:23 | Followed by another today, if things aren't that bad surely the company should issue a statement to reasure, they owe us that much! | bloodhound
11/12/2007 15:46 | why such a large drop....somebody knows something to reduce it by this much at a stroke.????????????? | 4screws
12/11/2007 17:08 | This one is turning into a crock'o'sh*t! Management seem incapable of deliveing a turn-around here, I'm not impressed!!! | bloodhound
08/10/2007 11:26 | Without a doubt. | bloodhound
08/10/2007 11:16 | Isn't it likely that MJ bought them + a few for good measure ? | yump
08/10/2007 11:08 | LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Mediasurface PLC said BlackRock Inc has cut stake in the company to 3.93 mln shares, or 3.94 pct of the voting rights, from 5.16 mln shares. Explains today's drop and 14% spread then....! | bloodhound
06/10/2007 09:55 | Yes but it's also about the board re-establishing the 'it's business at usual' mantra at MSR. My point is that if I hadn't found these links: then who'd have known about the deal? Crazy! and at a time like this!! The board said it remained confident, so don't hide it, RNS it! | bloodhound
06/10/2007 08:25 | They didn't RNS the Astra Zeneca deal either did they ? On the other hand I was feeling quite smug that I'd found a company that didn't 'pump' every bit of news into the market with an RNS, I could gradually build up a good stake without the share price going out of control. That'll teach me. (although that might have drawn more pi's in just before the warning). Hopefully this is one of those situations where contracts being signed in the next 6 months will compensate quickly for the drop this year end. Might be a while before the rating recovers though... | yump
05/10/2007 22:13 | Well it doesn't look like they did to me, so an opportunity missed in my view (you haven't got to RNS purely on deals over 10% of t/o you know). On the back of the recent temporary earnings slippage they could and should have RNS'd this today. Have a good W/E (after a sh*te week for MSR). | bloodhound
05/10/2007 21:56 | Please do g-r-q Did MSR RNS this today? I've been out all day and didn't find it until this evening. | bloodhound
05/10/2007 21:53 | good news bloodhound, A few more contracts like that and we will be back in profit in no time, I'll try and find out what effect this will have to the bottom line. | get rich quick

05/10/2007 13:28 | Eggbird You mean increasing his average holding price don't you ? Think Elderstreet is majority owned by MJ. So potentially owns a total of 5mln+ shares + (20mln x the proportion of Elderstreet he owns) ? don't know what price bought at though. So personal stake increased by 25% ish. His share of Elderstreet stake approx 11mln minimum if he has controlling interest in the vehicle. Total stake increased by around 10% ? | yump
05/10/2007 13:03 | garth, Unless of course they believed that buying would halt a fall so protecting their existing holding from further erosion.... why protect it from further erosion?? If you believe its going to collapse, no point adding £135 grand of your own money to go down with what you already have invested.!! would you add £135000 grand to something that you had insider knowledge about if you thought it was gonna fall even further?? i know I wouldn't even add £1 if I thought / knew that! | eggbird
05/10/2007 12:33 | Alas no. High enough. | wjccghcc
05/10/2007 10:59 | ....WJ, don't you mean low enough???? | g1ll1s
05/10/2007 10:16 | Eggbird, No-one in their right mind would spend £135,000 if they didnt believe the share price was going to be higher than this in the future. Unless of course they believed that buying would halt a fall so protecting their existing holding from further erosion.... G. | garth
05/10/2007 09:38 | The director to me speaks volumes, even if it is an average down. No-one in their right mind would spend £135,000 if they didnt believe the share price was going to be higher than this in the future. The is no point reducing your Average holding price if you think the share price is going to fall further. Simple as that. Im happy to sit and wait for this to get back into the 13-15p range. | eggbird
05/10/2007 09:09 | Hi WJ, what has IC said? tia | eggbird
05/10/2007 09:07 | I think IC said high enough. | wjccghcc
05/10/2007 08:51 | Lots of very small sells going through this morning??? Sp holding up so far.. | eggbird
04/10/2007 10:37 | I'm sure that the chairman buying would have made a bigger factor if MSR was a well known company but this is still a small growth company and this is to our advantage at the moment. When microsoft sort out MOSS and people realise that it will be a complement to morrello this will be a boost for us all. I'm sure it won't take long for you to get back to your 17p and let's face it there are a lot of companies that would take this to their advantage and take it back privately for 10p. It's only a paper loss at the mo for you and you could always average down as well. good luck in any decision you make. | get rich quick |
