Maverick Entertainment Group PLC ("Maverick" or "the Company"), the AIM listed
company specialising in the creation, acquisition and development of IPR in
children's films, television programmes, characters and related entertainment
products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Target Entertainment Limited
("Target") as International Distributor for Maverick's two series: Muffin the
Mule and Snailsbury Tales.

Target is widely regarded as one of the UK's leading rights management
businesses with in-house specialists in licensing, home entertainment and
digital rights management. Target has recently opened offices in Los Angeles and
New York. Capitalising on its strong reputation in the Drama, Documentary and
Comedy genres, Target has more recently consolidated its Children's business
with its own Children's and Family Programming development staff. Notably,
Target successfully distributed Chapman Entertainments' Fifi and the Flowertots
to over 100 territories worldwide.

Oliver Ellis, Director of Target's Children's and Family Programming said: "We
are pleased to be working with Maverick and in particular with the iconic Muffin
the Mule. The series ratings on BBC2 and CBeebies have been very strong and give
us a positive message to send out to International TV buyers."

Maverick is also pleased to report the imminent delivery of the Character
Options range of Muffin toys to major retail outlets. The first retailer to take
stock of the items will be Argos at the beginning of August. TV advertising of
the products will occur later in the year, to coincide with the key Christmas
sales period.

The Company has also agreed two new licenses during the period. The first
license is with SMPL for a live show featuring Muffin and friends, which is set
to tour in 2007. The show will reflect some of Muffin's roots as part of the
Hogarth Puppets, as well as introducing the all-new Muffin the Mule.

Lace Group, the Company's DVD distributor has also taken out a license to
develop Muffin gift packs incorporating books, DVD's and textiles. The first of
these will be 'slumber packs' featuring pyjamas and DVD's.

Sales for the first half of the year were in line with the Board's expectations
and the second half should see the benefit of the first revenues from the Target
deal as well as further UK activity on the licensing of Muffin the Mule. DVD
releases for the second half of the year include new issues for the successful
Fairly Odd Parents franchise as well as Rolie Polie Olie, Muffin the Mule and
Hilltop Hospital.

Mike Diprose, Chief Executive, Maverick Entertainment Group, commented "The
Company continues to concentrate on achieving a return on past investments by
working with effective partners. The Target agreement reflects this strategy, as
does the extension of our agreement with Lace.

We will continue with our stated aim to work closer with like-minded production
and distribution companies in order to achieve further momentum and
effectiveness in the market place. The Company is currently in discussions with
other parties to investigate opportunities that will assist it in achieving its
key objectives."
