Who has received a letter from CDN LAWFIRM in Boston requesting shareholders to assign their shares to them for a promose of $3.60 per share as there is supposed to be a HONG KONG bid for ita assets?
Strange no one has posted anything on this site as the shares look worthless?

I am a long term shareholder of MVK and have never been sent an annual report. Where are they?? What are they doing? I was sold the shares by a cold caller stockbroker in the City. Is this legal??

Here is a copy of an email I sent and the reply I received from MVK in 2007.
(I was optimistic then. I didn't expect 'soon' to mean 1.5 years or more!)

We are continuing to sell DVD's through Lace Group. Longer term we are
planning to merge with another company. An announcement to update
shareholders should be forthcoming soon.

I sold out completely - but at some cost.

I was one of only two shareholders who attended what I believe was the last AGM held.

The were three directors only and myself.

A second shareholder arrived late.

We swapped phone numbers.

I may be able to get in touch with him.

When did they last publish any results?

I believe the directors are con artista and the stock broker who conned me into buying these shares. Who are they. Does any one know who and where they are?

Quite a long time since the previous threads and things have changed with maverick quite abit since then, but I purchased a nice slice in 2006 and am quite happy to hang on until they are relisted and beyond, could be JUST a very good stock.

I have just had a note from bank to say that this company is now delisting.
I understand why because they have been suspended for so long but i thought suspension was due to a possable reverse take over, requireing shares holders to vote for or against.
If it is being delisted should they not issure RNS explain why or is this all being done through the back door.

I say it again whats the point of AIMS rules and the FSA.

Onther company takeing the p--- out of share holders.

They'll need to hurry up, if they are doing anything, as I think they get delisted in the first couple of days of January.

P.S. Why would anyone back the same directors on a new venture, when all they appear to have done is have a good old jolly, whilst funding their activities with ever increasing numbers of shares at ever decreasing prices...

Update

Further to the announcement made on 2 July 2007, the Company wishes to update
the market, in particular in relation to the progress in its discussions to
acquire an international media business. This business, whose founders have
extensive experience in the media sector, is focused on creating and exploiting
intellectual property (animation and live-action) for the children and family
entertainment market.

Subject to, inter alia, satisfactory completion of due diligence, formal
agreement on terms of the acquisition and putting the necessary financing in
place, the acquisition would be a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules and
therefore require shareholder approval. Whilst no guarantee can be given that
the acquisition can be successfully completed, the board believes that good
progress has been made and that the acquisition offers an attractive opportunity
for Maverick as well as enabling the Company to bring its reporting requirements
under the AIM Rules for Companies up to date and seek re-admission of its shares
to trading on the AIM market.

If these titles are to be 'big' surely that is market sensitive information which should have been published as a company announcement? The company is in the business of intellectual copyright and licencing.

After allowing the share price to collapse from 0.4p to 0.05p over less than two years the company has witheld its results for over the normal six month reporting period. To also fail to publish information on a new significant asset (if it is a significant asset) is unforgivable in my personal opinion.
