                Maverick Entertainment Group plc ("the Company")
                                        
                          Suspension of shares on AIM
                                        
The Company wishes to announce that its ordinary shares will be suspended from
trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange plc as from 7:00 am on
Monday 2 July 2007 as the Company has not complied with the requirements under
AIM Rule 19 of the AIM Rules for Companies to publish annual audited accounts
for the year ended 31 December 2006 within six months of its financial year end.

The Company is in active discussions with a view to acquiring and financing
certain additional media rights and assets which are complementary to its
existing portfolio and strategy. The board anticipates publishing its report and
accounts for the year ended 31 December 2007 and providing further details on
those discussions shortly.
