                           Placing and Notice of EGM

Maverick Entertainment Group plc, the AIM listed company specialising in the
creation, acquisition and development of IPR in children's films, television
programmes, characters and related entertainment products is pleased to announce
that it has raised #72,500 through a placing of 29,000,000 new ordinary shares
at 0.25p per share ("Placing Shares"). This will provide the Company with
additional working capital.

The Company also announces that it will be writing to shareholders to
requisition an EGM at the end of July 2005, to approve an increase in its
current authority to place shares for cash, which will enable Maverick to raise
further funds if the opportunity arises.

Application has today been made for the admission of the Placing Shares to
trading on AIM. The shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares of the Company. Dealings in the Placing Shares are expected to commence
on 5 June 2005.
