if we get brexit then there will be less immigrants to help build houses - remember big shortage of workers in housing construction

if the immigrants leave and less houses are built then there will be less building materials being consumed

Watch out for brexit and mind your eye for falling bricks

Lost decade up ahead of housebuilding and for MSLH

"I expect Q2 to also be flat and then Q3 will take off with all the delayed orders coming in."First 4 months group LFL revenue was down 1%, not flat, not up, DOWN.Delayed orders only gives +2% LFL, no where near the alleged +6%.DD

Didn't think we'd get a chance to buy lower than 3£ soon, thank Brexit for that.

A real bargain here. I expect Q2 to also be flat and then Q3 will take off with all the delayed orders coming in.

Might add some more if it falls to 280p.

Government say they're investing record amounts in flood defences in response to critical MPs' report
The government have said they're investing record amounts in flood protection schemes in response to a report by MPs which claims its failing to protect communities.

The report by the Environmental Audit Comittee says the North East needs more reassurance from the government on future flood protection.

Chris Harrop, Marshalls Group Marketing Director, said: “When we embarked on this journey, we hoped to learn how commercial, public and domestic spaces and the materials used to create them might change and perform over the next ten years, but we found much more.

“It was soon clear that our environments are changing at the behest of a number of unstoppable mega-trends that will shape the world we’re all going to live in. But at ‘street level’, we found more pervasive forces at work that will change the nature of our built environment – both subtly and dramatically.”

Good to see that MSHL's also take the sourcing of their products and child labour seriously. This should help with the more ethical clientele who wish to dig into where the company obtain some of their raw materials.

If my math! is correct, even including the delayed/deferred orders the TOTAL group Rev is still only up by 2% LFL, no where near the Q1 +6% LFL that has been banded about.Granted it's against strong 2015 figs.DD

Once Brexit belongs to the past and all these delayed orders kick in, it can be a spectacular Q3 this year. Happy holder and enjoying my dividends in the meantime :)

Bought more, this reaction is insane. 100% eps growth in 3 years, margins improving, dividend of 6.5p in 2 weeks.

Once Brexit is behind us this will fly.

MSLH says projects delayed due to economic uncertainty, when Brexit doesn't happen could be the first one to fly. Good positive statement but like the rest of economy, they wait to see what happens.

Construction growth forecasts downgraded as risks grow

Forecasters have lowered construction growth predictions for this year from 3.6% to 3% as fears mount about growing headwind for the industry.
