Don't worry about home improvements LM, look at the commercial stuff they are doing imo - From Edisons:

"Significant recovery expected, but could be greater
Consensus estimates already factor in a significant profit recovery for Marshalls, with EBIT returning to 2007 levels by 2017 and a 2014-17 EPS CAGR of c 27%. Operational gearing from increasing in volume is an obvious driver here. We note that FY17 revenue estimates are over £50m (or c 14%) above 2007 levels, which suggests more conservative margin expectations. A stronger commercial and pricing environment together with a growing contribution from specialist activities (such as street furniture and mortar) now under the Marshalls brand umbrella could also contribute to margin expansion. Additionally, with a conservatively geared balance sheet, Marshalls could boost growth through complementary acquisitions"

Have a look at the presentation on the website now imo:

These will do very well imo.

Indeed CR! I think it is worth topping up here on weakness given the confidence and move to modern technology the presentation indicates. Like BDEV I can't easily access my holding in MSLHs's anyway so it more or less has to be long-term which is the reason I bought them ;-)

Yes. Every fundamental reason to hold, and now looks like we are back in the up-channel after the recent shake-out. Shake-out blew the froth off the share price, so my guess is a steady rise to 400p on the cards now.

After looking at the presentation mentioned in the RNS yesterday I can see why MSLH ended on a high yesterday! Looks really good and happy to hold for the long-term here I think. Love the way they are bringing in technology to help the contractors using their products. Looks like all is on course for a bright future here.

Today, Marshalls plc is hosting an analyst and investor day at its Leamington Spa Street Furniture operation. No new material trading information will be disclosed.

The Board confirms that there has been no change to its expectations since the publication of its half year results on 28 August 2015. It intends to issue a Trading Update on 10 December 2015.

A copy of the presentation to be given at the visit to Leamington Spa will be accessible via the Investor Relations section of the Marshalls plc website www.marshalls.co.uk from 9.00am today.

Look forward to seeing the presentation in 2 hours or so. With luck the share price will get back to its highs now that it is e-divi and no change to expectations since the August 28th results were released.

Dropped out of the up-channel today and now sits at the bottom of channel. Will the bottom of the channel form new resistance or will share price rise within the channel? Who knows?

I have noticed, though, that tree-shakes often seem to get investors out of a rising share price just before the shares really take off -- it's as if market makers know what's coming.

Fundamentally, every reason to hold on, in my view.
