01/5/2008 17:23 | For the first time in ages I'm actually quite encouraged by the latest figures. The revenues are building up fats, and there are plenty of projects to see that continue for the next 12 months or so. If we get some sort of announcement that could provide evidence of further strong growth beyond 12 months, then things will start to move. | bonzophil

30/4/2008 18:01 | christ do you think every chinese person will buy a bag....brilliant!! i do take yor point dewi141..running before walking etc but i genuinely believe that there is a seachange coming in this industry and i am backing lnr [with fingers crossed] to be an important player...securing assets and going global needs to be pushed through now. just been on amazon and can't find your book. | bubface
30/4/2008 17:38 | hi Even on company broker forecasts, this company will be turning over just 34m GBP in FY 2010. Yet, it has to ramp up production in NA, has designs on China and Russia, is thinking of diversification into electricity generation and also potentially buyign the forests and timber that it depends on. Biting off more than it can chew perhaps? Perhaps im being cynical, but the message to me seems to be: 'Forget the numbers and the terrible history, and seduce the punters with a dream of every chinese buyign a bag of wood pellets each'. In my book, its not beign the biggest that's important (unless you are the CEO), its being the most profitable pound for pound. cheers | dewi141
30/4/2008 16:30 | waste of time and effort in china and russia ?? do you see these as insignificant markets for energy production that have no problems with carbon emmissions? russia has lots of wood china needs lots of low emmission fuel to offset it's massive footprint.i would see this as a potentially huge developement.meanwhi i am personally happy to hold [and maybe add] to a company that has global ambitions[ in such a growth market..opportunitie | bubface
30/4/2008 16:24 | just gone 4 v 1 | turbotrader2
30/4/2008 16:14 | hi i'm also disappointed with the broker forecasts for 2008, especially given all the bullish sentimnet that has expressed about the future for pellets. I see that there is no estimate of profitiabilty for the current year from the company itslef whch makes the broker forecasts more plausible. Given Libra's history of disappoitments, youve got to wonder what credence you can give to any forecast for 2009! I am concerned that the company is obsessed with size instead of profitabiilty -why waste management time and effort in china and russia when there is so much to be done in North America. I would prefer tehm to prove themsleves capable of running and expanding 5 plants in NA before grandstanding round the world. If you buy these shares (or hold them) you are trusting the managemtne to deliver in 2009- given their histry do you think this is a good risk/reward play? cheers | dewi141
30/4/2008 15:20 | So its another year of losses to come. I guess LNR has had to change brokers at the previous one - and the one before that - must be so embarrassed by the profit forecasts they made over the years. | abadan2
30/4/2008 14:42 | Lets see if this new broker carries any weight. Their price target is almost double the current price which must be attractive for their clients | the shuffle man
30/4/2008 14:35 | Those estimates are based on existing plants owned by LNR and do not take into account any benefits from the chinese or russian ventures or any futher acquisitions The current share price is way to cheap | the shuffle man |
