Well morning battlebus and trust all is well. Nice to hear your voice; cant you keep away?! This sounds svery promising to me, and I even had the good fortune to add a few yesterday. A buy and hold for a while for me.

LTG to acquire LINE Communications

Learning Technologies Group has agreed to acquire LINE Communications Holdings for £9m of which £5.1m will be paid in cash and £3.9m in new LTG shares.

LTG says that LINE has a leading reputation as a designer of fully blended learning solutions,

LINE will be combined with LTG's existing company Epic to form the UK market leader in the e-learning custom content market.

The enlarged business will have circa 250 staff based in UK offices in London, Brighton and Sheffield and overseas in Zurich, New York, and Rio de Janeiro.

The senior management team of LINE, including chief executive Piers Lea, will remain with the business.

LTG chief executive Jonathan Satchell said: "This transaction will increase our capability and geographic reach to meet market demand. LTG's subsidiary Epic, and LINE, have strong complementary services and products and will combine leading teams in the market. These solid credentials in learning technologies will provide a platform for further growth and market consolidation.

"We have a good acquisition pipeline and we look forward to updating shareholders in due course as we continue to grow our group."

At 8:01am: (LON:LTG) Learning Technologies Group share price was -0.25p at 18.5p

Yes an excellent set of results and record order book and USA strong in 2014.
LINE acquisition will more than double revenue and hopefully profit next year. Still a long way from a 50 million revenue company so a few more add ins to come.
Holding tight to these :))

Great results, all main indicators up, business performing strongly and an acquisition to boot! Very Happy Holder! Tried to top up first thing but couldn't. Will try again, hopefully haven't missed the boat today.. Really impressed with the business clout and acumen of the management, especially with experience of RWS in the mix. Well done LTG!

Bought in today on the strength of the last statement and quality of management. Hopefully it will be a good decision! My buy showing up as sell. The spread shown is not a true reflection of the bid-offer, its much tighter fortunately. But ADVFN just guesses. Roll on the results!

Once I saw the name Andrew Brode I felt sure this was a pretty safe bet (famous last words )

in fact I top sliced some RWS to make my initial purchase,,,,,

Andrew has done well for me at RWS over the years so have felt confident in topping up a few times since,,,,, as I did this morning, only 1k mind you, leaving some in the pot for any retrace,

Looking forward to any updates. LTG is now in my long term folder,,,,,only my thoughts so DYOR

Hi chaps, LTG is a company that I am watching closely after I noticed the upbeat trading update last month. In hindsight I should have brought some then, but because I didn't have much fundamental info to research I hesitated. But I will make sure that I don't miss the boat here.

Sorry janeann i thought you bought a few later on, THAL is another one i missed on several attempts but couldn't persuade my finger to push that button either lol. Can't be in everthing at once but as long as we get more winners than losers i'm happy.

Now thats rubbing salt in! (I didnt get in at about 40p) One I missed - my fault, and haveing had a quick read of ess they'll be marked up at open. Certainly reads very well. (But then I had hoped thal results would have been out today; due this week.)

Been buying SPSY looks to be oversold and when the overhang clears we may see a decent jump, NAV 34p and with the share price 17/19 but as ever dyor etc..
